Annual Open Enrollment
 Reminder
▪ Benefit changes can only be made:
   ▪ At the time of hire
   ▪ During the annual open enrollment period
   ▪ Within 30 days of a qualifying life event, such as a birth, marriage,
       divorce, or change of insurance for one of your dependents

▪ Elections made during this annual open enrollment are
  effective 1/1/2019 -12/31/2019

▪ All employees must make elections online through Workday
  between 11/12/2018 – 11/30/2018

Dependent Coverage Rules
                      ▪ Your legal spouse
                          ▪ Marriage license required
                             ➢ Working spouse rule
                                 If your spouse is eligible for their own employer’s group plan
                                 they MUST enroll to be eligible for BW coverage, the BW
                                 plan will pay secondary coverage ONLY

▪ Your dependent children
    ▪ Biological or legally adopted child, legal guardianship, QMCSO, stepchild
    ▪ Documentation required and some restrictions apply, see your HR Link
         Representative with questions
    ▪ Children are covered for most benefits until the end of the month of 26th birthday
    ▪ Children 26 and older are covered for most benefits
         if they are legally deemed permanently and totally disabled

Spousal Surcharge Requirements
Reminder
Your spouse must have completed 2 activities to avoid
the $100 spousal surcharge for 2019
1. Completed the Cigna HRQ by Oct 31, 2018
         If new to a BorgWarner medical plan in 2018, deadline is Feb 28, 2019

2. Completed at least 1 eligible preventive care visit by Oct 31, 2018:
         Preventive annual physical (with your Primary Care Physician or OB/GYN)
         Preventive colon cancer screening (age 50+)
         Preventive mammogram (age 40+)

   Spouses with BorgWarner secondary medical coverage should submit a qualifying
   preventive visit/screening EOB directly to Cigna via secure fax: 855.205.5787.
   Spouses with only BorgWarner medical coverage do not need to submit an EOB,
   preventive medical visits will be reported automatically.
