IAN EVATT I would like to wish you all a good afternoon ahead of our Emirates FA Cup First Round tie against Crewe Alexandra here at the University of Bolton Stadium. Also, a warm welcome once again to their manager David Artell, staff and players for their third visit to our ground this year following our pre-season fixture earlier in the summer and September’s Papa John’s Trophy game. Bolton Wanderers has a very good pedigree in the FA Cup and I know just how much our fans love this competition. A positive result today will give us a good boost of confidence and will provide us with an opportunity to kick start our season. We have been consistently inconsistent and we need to change that. After being quite unlucky with injuries we have now got players returning and all of a sudden our squad looks a lot fuller with more competition for places. I will be picking the strongest available team to beat Crewe today. I know what they bring to the table and I think it could be a really good game.
