Use the following website to show the formation of s,a,t,p,i and n to your child. Encourage them to use their fingers to follow the aeroplane or if they have a toy aeroplane or car they can use them to follow the formation of the letters. http://www.ictgames.com/mobilePage/skyWriter/index.html
Phonics Reception 2021 20.7.20 • Play the ‘Listening Ladybirds’ game. Use the multi-step directions cards below to give your child instructions and see if they can carry out the commands. If three instructions are too hard, you might want to try two to begin with. Once they’ve grasped the concept, can they follow more than three instructions or even have a go at making their own commands up?
• Play the ‘Name 5 things’ game. Use the attached clues for some ideas and see if your child can listen to the category and name three things that they think are suitable. If they are less confident with this, play the game but encourage them to name 3 things for each category.
• Play the cosmic kids Zen Den game. Play the clip and listen to the lady’s instructions of how to play. Encourage your child to listen really carefully to the chime. Once the clip has finished, they could find an instrument in the house and play the game again with a variety of different instruments. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=youtube+zen+den+cosmic+kids&qpvt=youtube+zen+den+c osmic+kids&view=detail&mid=368100C58708A0E1A8A5368100C58708A0E1A8A5&&FORM=VRDGA R&ru=%2Fvideos%2Fsearch%3Fq%3Dyoutube%2Bzen%2Bden%2Bcosmic%2Bkids%26qpvt%3Dyoutu be%2Bzen%2Bden%2Bcosmic%2Bkids%26FORM%3DVDRE • Watch the link below of ‘The Dinosaur that pooped a Princess.’ Encourage your child to sit nicely and watch/listen to the story.
