Day 1 - Wednesday 16th October
Bus transfer from main accommodation provider The Holiday Inn to Whipsnade Zoo
First day of conference, mixture of mammalian presentations with keynote speakers, 10-
minute talks, poster presentations and tours of the mammal sections.
Bus transfer available from Whipsnade Zoo to The Holiday Inn
Evening event at main accommodation provider The Holiday Inn, A5, Dunstable, food and
some drinks included plus entertainment.

Day 2 - Thursday 17th October

Second day of conference, mixture of mammalian presentations, 10-minute talks, poster
presentations, keynote speakers and tours of the mammal sections. As well as a mammalian
training symposium showcasing a range of modern training methods and behavioural
management.

accommodation for the conference. The hotel will be the site for the main
evening event on the 16th, has plenty of rooms for all and transport will be
provided two and from the zoo to this hotel (and of course it has a bar!)

By train
The nearest stations are Luton Town and Hemel Hempstead (both about 10
miles away from the Park).
Thameslink train services run from St Pancras to Luton with an average journey
time of 30 minutes. London Northwestern Railway runs services from London
Euston to Hemel Hempstead and Tring also with an average journey time of 30
minutes.

From the railway station, ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is approximately a twenty-minute
taxi ride. There are taxi ranks at both stations.

By car
Only 20 minutes from the M25 (junction 21), ZSL Whipsnade Zoo is signposted
from the M1 (junction 9 and junction 12) and all major roads - just follow the
elephant on the above map.
