Seldom the easiest to please, entertaining teenagers on holiday can be a challenge. However, families travelling to Milan need
not worry. Whether they’re looking to feast on pizza, go on a shopping spree, or simply explore, Milan is a city with an urban
buzz and an infectious, energetic spirit. From an Italian cookery class to the best places to shop, there’s plenty to occupy
restless teens in this city with this two-day itinerary.
Day One
Start the day with a cookery class at Cook in Milano, 15 minutes away from the hotel by taxi.
COOK IN MILANO

Where better to learn to cook perfect pizza or pasta than in the country famed for their creation? An
ideal activity for teenagers and keen instagrammers to do solo, or something for the whole family
to enjoy together, there are plenty of classes to enjoy at the Cook in Milano cooking school. Classes
must be booked online.
Then, take a taxi for the 15-minute journey to San Siro Stadium.

Milan is a city that lives for football and whilst its two home teams – F.C. Inter and A.C. Milan –
may share a stadium, their rivalry is one of the fiercest in Europe. Lovers of football won’t want to
miss a visit to the stadium, San Siro, to explore the on-site museum and take a tour of the facility,
which includes access to dressing rooms and the Tunnel of Champions.
From the stadium, the da Vinci Museum is a 15-minute taxi ride away.

Duomo, this eatery is a local favourite that has largely remained off the tourist map. While the
panzerotti they serve here is simple – freshly fried and folded dough parcels encasing mozzarella and
tomato sauce, or a choice of seasonal fillings – it’s incredibly popular, so be prepared for a queue.
Then, take a 20-minute taxi ride or 25-minute walk to Corso Como.
GARIBALDI AND CORSO COMO

manmade lake offers a whole host of cooling, adrenaline-fueled aquatic activities including water

also offers cycling trails.
