YOU’LL HONE YOUR SKILLS IN THE MODERN SALONS AND TREATMENT ROOMS OF THE RADMOOR CENTRE. Your tutors have years of experience in the sector, having worked for industry leaders such as Champneys, David Lloyd and Saks. They complete regular training courses to keep up to date with new techniques and practices, and maintain links with companies such as Clarins, Dermalogica, Ragdale Hall, Schwarzkopf, TIGI, Wella and ASP professional/ Affinage. You’ll take part in skills weeks and careers talks and will have opportunities to gain real, practical work experience. On top of taking part in demonstrations THE RADMOOR CENTRE and training sessions delivered by TRAINING SALONS, TEACHING, AND LEARNING specialist manufacturers, you’ll also get SPACES INCLUDE: the chance to visit and participate in national shows and competitions. • Two fully equipped hairdressing training salons • Four contemporary beauty treatment rooms • Dedicated nail salon • A complete spa facility with heated relaxation area, hot tub, spa, sauna, steam room and dry floatation tank • A fully equipped physiotherapy room 2

SUBMIT AN APPLICATION Initially, we can only log up to two course choices for your application. Please apply using the Loughborough College website or PS16 if your school provides this service. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT We’ll send you an acknowledgement email @ @ to let you know that we’ve processed your application and what you can expect next. You should receive this within 5 working days of submitting your application. ATTEND AN APPLICANT EVENT We’ll invite you to an event specifically for @ the course(s) you’re interested in. You will need to attend an Applicant event in order to get an offer to study with us. *This event may be an online/digital event so you may not need to come into college, details will be clarified nearer the time. FAQs I NEED EXTRA SUPPORT WITH MY STUDIES. WHAT HELP CAN I GET AT LOUGHBOROUGH COLLEGE? There are staff on hand to help you with your academic progress. Our specialist advisors can also help with additional requirements, and we have a fantastic team of learning support assistants who can provide in-class assistance. WHAT FUNDING IS AVAILABLE FOR TUITION FEES? There are no tuition fees for full-time students under 19 who are enrolled on a Further Education course. If you’re over 18, see page 3 for guidance. WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T GET THE GRADES I WAS EXPECTING? If you don’t get your predicted results, don’t panic! Our Student Recruitment team is on hand to help, and we’ll make sure that we find another course that is suitable for you. CAN I WORK A PART-TIME JOB WHILST STUDYING? We recommend no more than 8-9 working hours per week. Research has shown that 10+ hours can negatively affect academic achievement, so make sure you’re prioritising correctly. 20
