A Message from our CEO | Suzanne Washington Stride for Seniors, presented by The Standard, adults and families in our community continue is coming on Saturday, April 16, 2022, and will to live with food insecurity, malnourishment, be a time of celebration. Let ’s Get Started! We’re excited you’ll be joining us for Stride for Seniors! To get your fundraising started, identify a few people you know who could help you reach your fundraising goal. We’ve identified four areas where walkers typically need help. Tips For Success Choose a Cool Team Name / Theme Make it fun and funny! There are so many opportunities to incorporate seniors, food, location and more into your team name. Set a Fundraising Goal for Your Team You absolutely, positively have to set a fundraising goal for your team. The default goal for teams is $5,000, which represents the average team of 10 walkers raising $500 each. Don’t settle for the average! Pick a goal that works for you and go for it! Be sure to let you teammates know what the goal is so you can work together to meet it! Lead by Example Jump right in and get your fundraising going! An easy way to start is to make a donation to your fundraising page – show your team you mean business. Your team will follow your example! Make sure you share your victories on social media and let your team members know, it will motivate them. Communicate Weekly Make it fun and funny! There are so many opportunities to email your team with a short message. Send out an update to keep your whole team in the loop on a weekly basis. Highlight your team’s top fundraisers with a special shout out! Have Fun! Let ’s Stride!
