Welcome to the Hamilton Island Amateur Golf Championship. Limited to 52 spots, this 36-hole amateur
stableford event will be played at the Hamilton Island Golf Club during the PGA Professionals
Championship. With some of Australia’s leading teaching and club Professionals on hand, it will be the
complete golfing experience. The event will include a Pro-Am on day one, followed by a 36-hole
competition open to men and women, and will offer more than $5,000 in prizes including two nights at
the luxury resort qualia. It is sure to be a week of golf you will never forget.

Rate details for the event are as follows:
Reef View Garden & Sea View room discounted rates:
$325 per night (1 adult) or
$355 per night (twin share)
Extra adult rates apply $60 per additional adult per night

GOLF REGISTRATION / TEE TIMES
Tee times are as follows:
Thursday, 2nd September: From 9.30am Registration;
12:00pm Shotgun Start Championship Pro-Am
Friday, 3rd September: 7.45am – 10am (two tee start)
Saturday, 4th September: 7.45am – 10am (two tee start)
Sunday, 5th September: 11:30am – Hosted 3 course lunch for all amateur competitors.
The round one draw will be completed with the intention of satisfying all requests however, this may not be possible
for all. Round two draw will be a seeded draw based on the results from round one. Draws will be posted at Hamilton
Island Golf Club Tournament Office each afternoon as well as the PGA website.
GOLF BAG STORAGE
Upon arrival into Hamilton Island Airport on Wednesday, 1st September, please proceed to the Concierge for golf
bags to be tagged and transferred to Hamilton Island Golf Club for the duration of the event. Ensure the bag tag
is clearly displayed upon storing each day. Wednesday will be the only collection day from the airport. All other
days’ guests are responsible for bringing their own clubs to HIGC. On Saturday, 4th September following the final
round, all competitors will be required to transfer their golf clubs back to the Hotel on the ferry.
PRACTICE
Complimentary Practice rounds are available on Wednesday, 1st September for all Hamilton Island Amateur Golf
Championship competitors. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. To book a tee time, contact
Hamilton Island Golf Club on 07 4948 9760 or email golf@hamiltonisland.com.au.
There are limited practice facilities available at Hamilton Island Golf Club. Practice facilities include four (4) warm
up nets and two (2) chipping and putting greens available. The Hamilton Island Golf Club possesses a floating
range (with the ability to hit up to 7 iron) though availability of this will be determined closer to the event.
GOLF TRANSFERS
Buses will depart from the foyer of the Reef View Hotel 10 minutes prior to ferry departure times. If there are any
changes to the scheduled departure times, you will be notified at Registration on Thursday.
NOTE: As all passengers are on a scheduled service, it is vital that you are on time for departure from the Hotel.
If you are not ready to depart at the scheduled time, the transfer bus will leave without you.
HANDICAPPING
Handicap examinations are a matter of standard procedure for the Hamilton Island Amateur Golf Championship
Rules Committee at all stages of the tournament. At its discretion, the rules committee reserves the right to make
handicap adjustments and player disqualifications based upon evidence derived through handicap examinations

Airport Transfers
As per accommodation arrangements
Island Transfers
For those staying at the Reef View Hotel, a shuttle bus has been
coordinated to transfer competitors to the Ferry dock from Thursday
to Sunday of the tournament week. Buses will depart from the foyer
of the Reef View Hotel 10 minutes prior to ferry departure times. If
there are any changes to the scheduled departure times, you will be
notified at Registration on Monday.

Lost & Found
All items should be handed in to Reef View Hotel reception and all enquiries should be directed to Security or the
Duty Manager.
Medical Services
The Medical Centre, map reference 75, operates Monday to Friday, 8am-12pm and 2pm-5pm and Saturday 9am-
12pm. The doctor is available for emergency treatment out of hours, with an additional call out fee is payable at
time of treatment.

PRICES
The prices quoted in this itinerary are subject to change and will be based on availability
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Some of the times on this itinerary may change, but the PGA of Australia Ltd will advise you of any changes as
they are known. To make the most of your time while at the event, please be ready for departure and pick-ups
each day at least 10 minutes before the times stated on your itinerary to utilise the group transfers and ensure
everyone makes the scheduled tee times etc; otherwise you will need to make alternative transfer arrangements
at your own cost. There are some early morning starts and while we know you are on holiday we also know you
want to make the most of your golf on this amazing course.
WET WEATHER REFUNDS
Refunds do not apply if you choose not to play due to bad weather. If the golf club closes its course due to heavy
rain or dangerous conditions, then alternate arrangements will be made.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Please ensure that you contact your Insurance provider and take out the appropriate coverage.
DEPOSITS
Payment in full is required at time of booking to secure your place at this event.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations by the client must be in writing to the PGA of Australia Ltd and are subject to the following forfeit
cost per person:
Cancellation 90 days or more before departure date: 20% of the package value lost
Cancellation 45 days or more before departure date: 50% of the package value lost
Cancellation between 45 days and departure date: 100% of the package value lost
Some providers and suppliers require full payment at time of booking. In these cases no refunds will be possible.
DISCLAIMER

courses and accommodation may change depending on availability but will be replaced by similar standard courses
and hotel. Timings and order of days are also subject to change.Wednesday, 1st September – Sunday, 5th September 2021 COVID-19 Players, caddies and guests of this event are at all times to adhere to the Health Directives as outlined by the Queensland Government (https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/) applicable on the day of the event. All guests will be required to QR Scan in prior to boarding the ferry and prior to entering all of the restaurants on Hamilton Island. The PGA, at its ultimate discretion may refuse entry into the tournament or withdraw a player from the tournament should circumstances exist whereby there is a risk of COVID-19 infection or transmission. Individuals who have been linked to active cases within the past 14 days, or are showing symptoms, or are awaiting COVID-19 test result must not attend the venue and must withdraw as soon as practically known. This event will at all times remain subject to Queensland Government Heath Directives in place at the time of staging. In addition, the Host Venue and the PGA shall have the discretion to cancel the event at any time should the organisations deem the event to be a health risk to players, club members or the community. Players shall indemnify the PGA of Australia Ltd against any costs, expenses, damages and losses incurred through the cancellation or postponement of the event. For the reasons stated above, it is recommended players review and consider the cancellation policies when pre- booking accommodation and/or flights in relation to these events.
