Alumni Invited to Provide Input on New
 Mascot or Nickname
The VUAA Board of Directors encourages all alumni to participate in providing input
on Valpo’s new nickname or mascot. Your comments and suggestions will be reviewed
by the committee established by President Padilla. In August 2020, the VUAA Board
passed a resolution asking the University to commit to a “comprehensive review of the
Crusaders nickname, mascot, and related imagery, including consideration of
retirement of the Crusader.” Click below to read more about the committee and to
 submit your comments.
