MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR RENO’S 2018 TH 6 ANNUAL BIGGEST LITTLE CITY WING-FEST Silver Legacy, Eldorado Resorts, Circus-Circus and Downtown Reno are gearing up for the 6th annual BIGGEST LITTLE CITY WING-FEST, scheduled for July 6 and 7, 2018. This all- American event held in Downtown Reno, from 2nd Street to 6th Street, continues to be a huge success, growing every year in attendance with chicken wing cookers, street vendors and of course, the chicken wing-loving public. In 2017, our chicken cookers served up 29,000 pounds of delicious, finger-lickin’ wings. We need your help to surpass that number in 2018 with your unique, tantalizing and cluck-a-licious chicken wing recipes You are invited to be a chicken wing cooker in this year’s event. We have special rates for our chicken cookers reflected on the below link. https://circusreno.reztrip.com/ext/promoRate?property=1081&mode=b&pm=true&sr=325038&vr=3 IMPORTANT COOKER INFORMATION * Event Dates: July 6 & 7, 2018 * Festival Hours: Friday, 1 pm to 10 pm & Saturday, 11 am to 10 pm * Hen House Hours: Friday and Saturday, 1 pm to 6 pm * Alcohol Sales end Friday and Saturday night at 9 pm. * Cooker booth set up time will be determined by the City Fire Department. Times will be provided at a later date. * Cooker booth tear down is to commence Saturday, July 7th after 10 pm per the City Fire Department. * Cookers are only permitted to sell wings and non-alcoholic beverages (lemonade is not permitted to be sold) * Cookers must purchase wings from Eldorado Resorts only. The wings are an 8-11 count per pound and are required by the Reno Health Department to be in a frozen state delivered to your booth. * Cookers are to sell a three-piece chicken wing sampler plate for $5.00. * Cooker chicken wing selling prices: 6 wings @ $8 / 8 wings @ $11 / 12 wings @ $15 / 18 wings @ $21 / 24 wings @ $27. Wing prices cannot be lower than the listed prices. * Cookers must provide proof of booth liability insurance coverage when the application is sent in. * Cookers are required to obtain a City of Reno Temporary Business License. You can contact the Busincess License Division at 775-334-2090 * Street assignments will be based on a first come first serve basis. * Cardboard will be provided to each booth so booth floors are kept grease free. Fryers are to be placed on top of the cardboard. * Cookers will be required to provide all equipment needed for preparing their chicken wings. Eldorado Resorts wil not be offering fryers, or fryer equipment for rent. - For your convenience, listed are companies who rent deep fryers : Celebrations Rentals - 775-773-8900 ; A Top Hat Party Rentals - 775-358-3338; and Delta Restaurant Supply & Party Rentals - 916-485-8111. - For your convenience, listed is Crystal Ice for ice box rentals: 775-323-5145 - Cookers are to directly make arrangements with the rental company regarding payment, delivery and pickup. * Cookers are to remain open for the entire duration of the festival based on the above times. * Grey water dumping is to be handled by the individual cookers at the designated dumping station on 4th Street. * There will be hoses available where fresh water can be collected. * Fryer oil is to be drained into containers after the festival closes each night. * All cookers are to provide a hand sink, hand soap and paper towels per Health Department regulations in their booth. * The Eldorado Resorts Stewards Department will collect your utensils after the festival closes so they can be washed. Your utensils will be delivered back to your booth the same night. Make sure they are identifiable. * Fire Extinguishers are provided to each cooker booth, and are a K-class extinguisher. Please do not pack them up when you are breaking down. They will be collected and returned to ABC Fire.
* Throughout the course of the day there will be runners going to each booth so additional orders can be placed. * A cooker meeting is scheduled for July 5th at 1 pm at the Silver Baron Ballroom A. Additional information will be given out to all cookers. JUDGING COMPETITIONS * Listed are the wing competition times and will occur at the Wing Ring Judging Stadium Tent on Friday, July 6th at the below times. ALL winners will be announced on Saturday, July 7th at 5pm at the main entertainment stage. PEOPLE'S CHOICE Patrons will vote via text who their favorite wing vendor is. Top three (3) winners will be featured in 2019's VIP Hen House. CELEBRITY 2:00 PM CHAIRMAN 3:00 PM BEST BBQ 4:00 PM BEST BUFFALO 5:00 PM BEST DRY RUB 6:00 PM * Cookers are required to participate in at least one contest excluding the People's Choice. Wings must be delivered 15 minutes before each judging time to the Wing Ring Judging Tent. PEOPLE'S CHOICE WINNERS WILL RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING PRIZE BREAKDOWN: *1ST PLACE: $1,000 *2ND PLACE: $500 *3RD PLACE: $250 * PLUS a featured spot in 2019's VIP Hen House ALL JUDGING CATEGORY WINNERS WILL RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING PRIZE BREAKDOWN: 1ST PLACE: $750 PLUS a featured spot in 2019's VIP Hen House 2ND PLACE: $250 3RD PLACE: $100
