Thank you for expressing your interest in auditioning for “PETER PAN” at Altrincham Garrick Playhouse, which is one of our Autumn/ Winter 2021 Season productions. The Adult’s Audition Date for this production is Tuesday 10th August The Children's Audition Date for this production is Thursday 19th August The Rehearsal Start Date for this production is Sunday 31st October The Production Dates (including Charity Preview) for this production are Thursday 9th December 21 - Monday 3rd January 22 Rehearsals Rehearsals will be every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7.30pm - 10pm, and every Sunday from 2pm - 5.30pm. Midweek rehearsals for the Children will begin at 6/6.30pm and nish no later than 9pm. We do ask that all those auditioning are able to make every rehearsal. We do, of course, understand that sometimes you may have other commitments and special occasions during the rehearsal process, and we therefore ask that you inform us of any dates you are not available in advance (at the audition) and we will try and make this work. If you have a date that you’re unable to rehearse within ten days of the opening night (9th December) we may have to ask you to withdraw from the production. You may not be called to every rehearsal, and the Director will produce a rehearsal schedule as far in advance as possible, but we do still ask that those successful in being cast in the production remain exible, as rehearsal schedules can often change during the process. Male 40+ THE LOST BOYS Tootles Nibs Curly Slightly The Twins For THE LOST BOYS we are looking for a company of six - twelve children, aged nine and above, to play these roles. Any gender. The Adult Audition - Tuesday 10th August We are a diverse theatre and we welcome auditionees from the ages of 18 and above of all genders, ethnicities, sexualities, disabilities and races, to enrich the work of the production. Auditionees will need to sign in and complete a contact sheet in the Theatre Bar at Altrincham Garrick Playhouse from 6.30pm on Tuesday 10th August. We will then see each auditionee, one by one, in the Annexe to perform in front of the audition panel. There will be Garrick personnel to show you around and help you through the process. The audition panel will consist of the Director, Associate Director, Musical Director, Choreographer and members of the Altrincham Garrick’s Artistic and Casting Team (ACT). Scripts will be available for each character from 6.30pm on Tuesday 10th August, in the Theatre Bar. We also ask that auditionees prepare a song from a Musical that showcases your vocal range, and that you bring sheet music for this. The Musical Director will play piano accompaniment for all audtiionees. ffi fi
The Children’s Audition This audition is for THE LOST BOYS and for MICHAEL AND JOHN. We are a diverse theatre and we welcome auditionees of all genders, ethnicities, sexualities, disabilities and races, to enrich the work of the production. Auditionees will need to sign in and complete a contact sheet in the Theatre Bar at Altrincham Garrick Playhouse from 6.30pm on Thursday 19th August, accompanied by a parent or guardian. Our Choreographer will then take the auditionees through a dance/ movement routine and we will run this a couple of times as a group. After this has taken place, we will then see each auditionee, one by one, in the Annexe to perform a short scripted speech* in front of the audition panel. The audition panel will consist of the Director, Associate Director, Musical Director, Choreographer and members of the Altrincham Garrick’s Artistic and Casting Team (ACT). We may also need to hear the auditionees sing, so please prepare a short song (no more than one minute long) that can be sung without piano (a cappella). *Please prepare the following poem for the audition. You do not have to learn it, but please feel free to do so. We do ask that you’re familiar with it.
