Reading Colors Your World is the Summer Reading Pro- gram at the Davenport Library. You may register online via Beanstack (davenportlibrary.beanstack.com) or by coming to the library. The program kicks off June 19th at the Fairmount and Eastern libraries with Chalk the Walk and goes through August 28th. Read books, attend virtual or in person programs or do fun activities to earn tickets for prize drawings. Crafting by color will be held at Fairmount every Wednesday at noon. Red felt gnomes, orange hanging paper fish, a yellow pineapple planter, a green pea pod clay sculpture, blue bubble wrap painting and violet beaded dragonflies will be the crafts. Other summer activities include outdoor story time, yo- ga and stories in the park, forest friends banners, read- ing to a dog and many teen activities. Summer Food Service The Davenport Schools will again have free daily breakfast and lunch pro- grams for children 1-18 years. There is no sign up. The program will run from Monday, June 21st until Friday August 6th (not on July 5th). These sites are offering grab and go lunch and breakfast bags from 11:00-12:30: Wood Intermediate, Sudlow Intermediate, Smart Intermediate, JB Young, and Buffalo Elementary . Buchanan Elementary will be offering the grab and go bags from 12:00-12:20. Fairmount Library is offering the breakfast and lunch bags from 12:40-1:05. The grab and go sites will offer week-end meal sacks on Friday Dine in lunch sites at 11:30-12:30 are Trinity Lutheran, Wilson Elementary, Central High School, Hayes, Jefferson and Madison. Dine in lunch sites from 11:40-12:00 are at Progressive Baptist Church and YMCA Bittner (downtown Y) Dine in lunch from 12:40-1:00 is at North YMCA. Dine in lunch at 12:15 –12:35 is at Sr. Concetta Park. Dine in breakfast programs at 8:30-8:50 are at Progressive Baptist Church and Bittner YMCA. Davenport Parks and Recreation Davenport Parks and Recreation offers free theater pro- ductions, family events with games and activities, gar- den and nature programs and themed education events. Junior Theater-the True Tale of Robin Hood is outdoors at the Junior Theater complex. June 16th and 19th at 6:30 and Sunday the 20th at 2 p.m. Festivities begin 1 hour prior to show times. Bring chairs. Reader’s Trail—Prairie Heights, Lindsay Park and Fejervary. Read a story at each beautiful location. Movie on the Mississippi-Friday August 8th at 7 pm at Quinlan Court (River Drive and Brady Street) Pollinator Week—Vander Veer—July 20-25 from 10-4 Family Fun Days at Fejervary-Saturdays 12 noon –5 p.m. June 19, August 21, September 18, and October 16. The Kids Pass is good from Memorial Day to Labor Day. It is available for students 5-18. The cost is $50 per student. What’s included: 1. Davenport Pools—Annie Wittenmyer and Fejevary –check daven- pottiowa.com/pools for public swim hours. 2. The River’s Edge-Ice skating and soccer. Go to: davenportiowa.com/riversedge for times. 3. Red Hawk Golf Course– 3 hole short course, free bucket of range balls, bocce ball. With paid adult. 4. City Bus—free all summer 5. Davenport YMCAs-swim, gym and workout. 10 visits per month. 6.
