This year promises to provide a wide array of recreational opportunities within our beautiful city. With more than $1 billion in new and planned development in Allentown in the past few years, we continue to grow and expand each season, bringing new buildings, unique public spaces, and expanded businesses. Allentown boasts a world-class parks system, from the pristine and peaceful Trexler Park to the running and walking oasis in Lehigh Parkway, to the popular and bustling Cedar Beach Park. Park All City of Allentown parks, picnic groves, fields and pavilions are available on a first come, first Rentals serve basis; however, reservations in advance are highly recommended. Popular pavilions & Fees book up quickly on weekends, so submit your request early in the year to hold your picnic, baby/ wedding shower, family reunion, or other private party in Allentown’s beautiful parks system. Pavilion Permits Residents - $75.00 Non-Residents - $150.00 *Proof of residency required for permit. The following pavilions are available for daily reservation from dawn to dusk: (Electricity is not provided. Amplified music is not allowed) *Equipped with ADA compliant tables. If you arrive and there is another party being married or photographed, please wait for them to conclude their ceremony before beginning yours. Completed Projects Court St. Arts Walk Extension: This community place-making project focused on enhancing safety and beautifying an existing connecting space between businesses and residential areas. Lighting upgrades, new curbing, sidewalks, road surfacing, a signalized crosswalk and the addition of plants and benches bring a new focus to the area.
