The goal of this group is to help students develop healthy study patterns and offer accountability in a group setting. The club will run weekly meetings online, where students can study together and receive support from experienced seniors. The meetings will be academic-focused, but anyone with an intention of working deeply and concentrating is welcomed. No matter if you are reading, painting, journaling, or practicing an instrument… we hope that this place will help you find focus in a distracted world. GRAD NEWS DRY GRAD CONTACT INFORMATION Dry Grad Contact: Tracy Scott Dry Grad Email: lfasdrygrad2021@gmail.com DRY GRAD FUNDRAISING The Langley Fine Arts parents dry grad committee is currently trying to fundraise for the graduating class of 2021. The Langley Fine Arts school is located in Fort Langley and is a truly wonderful and unique school with a very small graduating class of just 99 kids this year, some that have been in the school since grade 1. Due to Covid, these kids have not been able to enjoy any of the rights of passage typically enjoyed in their Grade 12 year. Let's help give them a wonderful send off! https://www.gofundme.com/f/langley-fine-arts-school-grad-class-or- 2021?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf%20share-flow- 1&fbclid=IwAR0DTVaz9HyIOzW0oIqna9BmxXf5klZmphHnlOM_XeO1Hm5_Zlw09ICF-pE
2021 DRY GRAD COMMITTEE NEWS The LFAS Dry Grad parent Planning Committee is currently organizing a Grad Celebration to be held at the school for Grads only during the third week of June. Given the impacts of the pandemic, many of the typical methods of fundraising are no longer possible for this 2021 Grad year. As such, the planning committee is seeking alternate ways of raising funds to support a Grad Celebration that honour the accomplishments of this year’s graduates. If you would like to donate you will soon see the OPTIONAL fee on your students School Cash Online account. You can select an amount. Alternately you can contact Tracy Scott or Sherri Holmes at lfasdrygrad2021@gmail.com. Any donations or in-kind contributions are greatly appreciated. Another easy way to help raise money for the 2021 Grad Celebration is with the Return-It-Express program for recycling beverage containers. https://express.return-it.ca/Account/Login?ReturnUrl=%2f Steps: 1. Put all refundable beverage containers in a clear or blue recycle plastic bag and take to bottle depot that has a Return-It-Express location (Walnut grove, Murrayville, Industrial Ave, Willowbrook, Maple Ridge, Pitt meadows, Fleetwood, Guidlford… and many more!) 2. When you get to the Bottle Depot find the Return-It-Express Kiosk and enter our special phone number – LFAS GRAD 21 (532 747-2321). The system will ask you to verify that you are using the LFAS Grad 21 account and how many labels you want printed. Print what you require and put on each bag of bottles to be counted and drop in the bin next to the kiosk. Remember every little bit helps and it is nice to have someone else sort & count!! Questions: Where do I get the transparent (blue or clear) bags for the Express system? The Express system was designed for your convenience. The bags simply need to be blue recycling bags or transparent bags. What containers can I place in the bag? Any beverage container on which a deposit was paid in BC is eligible for the Express program. Stay tuned for updates on other ways to support! • Meridian Meats fundraiser • Online donation for people and businesses outside of the LFAS community through Paypal, GoFundMe or etransfer are coming

About Meridian & Ralph’s Our family business began 30 years ago with a small butcher shop on Coast Meridian Road in Port Coquitlam (hence the name Meridian!). Fast forward to today, despite having a few more stores, we’re still trying our best to replicate the same business we started in 1989. Meridian is an old-fashion style butcher shop specializing in 100% grass-fed beef, free-run poultry, local pork, sustainable seafood and the latest plant-based protein. Ralph’s and our Farm Market locations also include local fresh fruits & vegetables, artisan deli, fresh baked breads and grocery essentials. Visit us online at: meridianfarmmarket.ca or ralphsfarmmarket.com Or, shop online for Butcher Bundles and specialty items like free-range turkeys: shop.meridianfarmmarket.ca About Our Fundraiser We’ve developed our Farm Fresh Fundraiser to be as simple (and profitable!) as possible. We’re celebrating Meridian’s 30th anniversary by giving 30% of the proceeds of all gift cards sold directly to participating organizations. Meridian and Ralph’s gift cards never expire. They’re 100% redeemable at any one of our eight (and growing, thanks to you!) convenient Meridian or Ralph’s locations throughout Vancouver and the lower mainland. We are one year into what seems like a never-ending saga of this pandemic. We are all missing out on so much. Unfortunately, the Grade 12 Students are really missing a huge milestone and celebration in their lives come June. While we don’t know what restrictions will be in place by the PHO, we still want to really celebrate each one of their achievements. This is where we turn to you, our community, to help raise some funds, so that we can celebrate their achievements. While we have not been able to fundraise in the traditional, sense, we are doing as much as we can online. We are running an online Meridian Meats Fundraiser. The way this works, is that you order Meridian Meats Gift Cards via the order form link https://forms.gle/22arQtGLpSfthAcH9 and e-transfer payment to lfasdrygrad2021@gmail.com before March 21. The Gifts Cards can be purchased with preload values of $10, $25, $50, $75 or $100. These Gift Cards can be then redeemed at any Meridian Meats or Ralph’s Farm Market and the value on the cards never expiry. As part of this fundraiser, Meridian Meats will be giving back 30% of all Gift Cards sold, so this is a great way to donate to support the Grade 12 Students and also a great local family owned company. On behalf of the parents and Grad students at Langley Fine Arts, we Thank You for supporting the Class of 2021 and helping to provide a safe and memorable Grad Year. If you have any questions about this fundraiser, please contact Rob Stephenson (Grad 12 Parent) at ozcanada@shaw.ca
