Daily Sheet Tuesday 16th January 2018 New announcements! Thank you Tam O’Shanter Rehearsals @ Drama Club Rehearsals will take place on Friday 19th and Monday 22nd January at lunchtimes. New members are especially welcome. Please read out to all Pupils: Timekeeping is an essential quality for all of us, whether at school or later in life in you workplace. As of this week, all pupils who arrive late for school will be issued with a lunchtime detention. Please make sure to be in school on time to avoid this from happening. If your lateness is due to one of the service buses being late, you will not be disadvantaged. Rollerama ASAP Rollerama for everyone, all equipment supplied, every Monday lunch time in the gym hall. Come along and have fitness and fun. If you have any questions come speak to Karen, Carla or Kim in the Youthbase, room 3404. Ski Trip Meeting There will be a meeting for everyone going on the ski trip today (Tuesday) at morning interval, in Geography room 4113. It is important that everyone attends as we will be giving out reminders of the key dates coming up as well as medical forms which need to be filled in. Please see Mrs Leppard asap if you can’t attend or miss the meeting. Thank-you.
Attention all S1s going to Madrid in 2018 – The next payment is now due for the Madrid Trip. Please pay £130 on or before Friday 19 th January. You can make payments on Parent Pay or give the money directly to Mr Snee. Pupil Voice Meeting: Wednesday January 17th PERIOD 3. The next Pupil Voice Meeting is due to take place next Wednesday (17.1.18) during period 3 in Science Space (4216). It is important that as many Pupil Voice members attend as possible. All S1 – S6 councillors should email me by the end of period 7 on Tuesday 16th stating whether they will be attending or not. My World of Work Ambassadors To all the S3 and S4 pupils who put their names forward to be trained as MWOW Ambassadors, my apologies for the delay in getting started on this. I intend to see all the S4 volunteers after prelims and will get the S3 volunteers together in the coming weeks for our first meeting. Miss Mitchell S6 UCAS We are now coming to the schools deadline for sending in applications. It is very important that you go and seek out your Guidance Teacher to discuss your reference. There are far too many applications sitting incomplete. If you still wish to apply to University you must go and see your Guidance Teacher by Tuesday. The closing date for UCAS is 15th Jan but many courses are almost full so make sure you do something about this prior to the end of term. If you have any major issues please discuss with: Ms R Walker or Mrs Gow. Pupil Council New-Corridor Rule: Further to concerns voiced during recent Pupil Council meetings and subsequent discussion with the Senior Leadership Team please note: When moving between classes and/or social areas pupils, whenever possible, should always keep to the left. This is important as it reduces congestion. This includes keeping to the left at the atrium stairs. Now in its 15th year at the University, the Scottish Space School continues to inspire the next generation of engineers and scientists and is aimed at S5 pupils in Scotland currently studying Maths and Science subjects at Higher level.
