2018: The Dawn of a New Day HLAA We’re introducing a new logo, website, and magazine. But why? • “You cannot change any world unless you become a vital part of the changing.” ― Munia Khan • WWRT? • “Keep saying ‘yes’ to the future” – Rocky Stone • It’s just time.
hearingloss.org • Updated look and feel • Accessible to all • MUCH easier to navigate! • Mobile-friendly • More robust search functionality • Can be translated into 103 languages • Launching Spring of 2018
What’s the Meaning of All This? • We’d all rather have a hearing life than a life with hearing loss. And if you think about it, we do. • Are you hearing life? • There’s a lot we can’t hear, but with support, encouragement, and acceptance, you will realize there is so much in life we can hear. • Through technology or some other means we have all made the decision to live in the hearing world, which opens the door to hearing life. • Let’s focus on the person, not the condition. We are all here because we have made the decision to have a hearing life, which is a big step toward hearing life!
The New Logo • It focuses on people. It’s personal, positive, contemporary, welcoming, and represents growth. • It’s unique (like HLAA!) • It reflects our name recognition • It’s versatile • Chapters get one too! • Not everything changed • Don’t throw it all away!
External Affairs & Events Nancy Macklin The Director of External Affairs and Events is charged with the development and implementation of fundraising strategies and external partnerships to support and fund HLAA's mission and goals.
