A LETTER FROM OUR SEMINARIAN “Heart of My Heart, let me die with you.” These are the words of the Blessed Moth- er as she expresses the pain of the swords that pierced her heart as she witnessed her Son Jesus crucified. Often I find myself gazing towards Mary as the perfect example in reaching the ultimate prize, Heaven! God calls us to holiness and takes it one step fur- ther and calls us to be saints of God! WOW, it doesn’t get any better than that! It all begins in the day of our Baptism when we choose to die to ourselves and be reborn in Christ. The heart is how we see God. I once asked God, “whom should I be when I’m ordained a priest,” and He answered, “Look into my Sacred Heart, for it is a revelation of whom you are to become.” We are ALL made in His image and likeness, heart of His Heart. A heart instilled in Christ, is the ultimate muscle that carries us through the race to reach our final destination, Heaven, where we hope to receive the crown of life, bejeweled with the diadems of holiness and sainthood. Heart of my heart, let me die with you, let this be a prayer for us in our life, to remind us to die with Christ daily by always saying yes to God. Keep up the good fight, for God along with the choirs of Angels and Saints are root- ing and praying for you! In Our Risen Lord: Ricardo Salgado, Seminarian of the Diocese of Orlando.
