2022 Azamara Norway Intensive Cruise
Our ports here in the Land of the Midnight Sun include Stavanger, a fascinating town dating to the
Middle Ages. Eidfjord is a tiny hamlet surrounded by steep fjord walls, sparkling crystalline
glaciers, raging waterfalls, and mountain tundra traversed by herds of reindeer. We’ll sail inland
along the fjord to Olden and admire the awesome Jostedal Glacier, the largest ice flow in
Continental Europe. In Svolvaer, 24 miles above the Arctic Circle, experience phenomenally
dramatic scenery, dotted with massive glacial rock formations visible in every direction, expansive
beaches and vibrant, green fields. Tromsø sits among a breathtaking landscape of snow-capped
peaks and scattered islands. Be sure to take the cable car up Storsteinen Mountain where the view
is second to none. In Honningsvåg, the northern most port of our voyage, you will marvel at one of
Norway’s most popular attractions: a majestic cliff, rising over 1,000 feet above the sea providing
yet another majestic panorama. You’ll want to visit the Northern Lights Museum in Alta, and in
Harstad, know to the locals as “The Pearl of Vågsfjorden,” immerse yourself in Scandinavian spa
culture with a trip to the Grottebadet Waterpark. Bodø is one of North Norway’s fastest growing
cities, full of urban excitement and home to a diverse community of artists
