The Ski Buzz concept was inspired by the sheer pleasure of
sharing great skiing days with like-minded (and similar standard) mates;
including partners, friends or new skiing buddies.
We invite you to join a small group of like-minded skiers to revel
in a unique alpine experience on an escorted ski tour visiting two spectacular
regions in Austria enjoing the unique local hospitality that Ski Buzz offers whilst
staying at beautiful five-star accommodation.
Behind the concept
Ski Buzz is run by Australian siblings Yvonne Verstandig and Daniel Burger.
Growing up in Melbourne, winters were spent skiing at Mt Buller, and school
holidays saw the Burger family skiing overseas as often as possible. During
their University years both Yvonne & Danny spent their weekends ski
instructing at Buller, with Danny even having a gap year or two instructing in
Austria.
Eventually careers and family took priority over life on the slopes and those
carefree ski days became a distant memory.
With Yvonne a director of Y Travel and Daniel an architect and development
manager, Ski Buzz is their passion project to help others experience their love
of skiing, and a chance for them to get out of the office and onto the slopes
once more!
Whilst Yvonne spent most of her childhood being tormented by older brother
Danny, their love of skiing has brought them together as adults with a mission
to create the perfect ski adventure for like-minded passionate ski bums.
The experience
Ski Buzz 2022 is heading back to the Spring sunshine & beautiful blue skies of
its roots - Austria. The focus of this year’s ski safari will be on two of Austria’s
iconic ski resorts; the international resort of Zürs am Arlberg and the renowned
village of Kitzbühel.
Immerse yourself in regional Austrian mountain culture and enjoy the unique
local hospitality that Ski Buzz offers whilst staying at beautiful 5 star hotels.
Ski with our expert local guides on long groomed runs and off-piste adventures.
Relish the opportunity to develop your skills in light European powder (subject
to snow conditions), while sampling the local cuisine and partaking in some
après cheer that Austria is so well known for.
Ski Buzz is now offering a 12 day escorted ski safari departing Munich on
Sunday 6 March and returning to Zürich on Thursday 17 March. You will not
want to miss out on this one!

Kitzbühel We kick of our ski safari ‘warm up’ in the charming medieval town of Kitzbühel. The picturesque town has a clear sense of history and the pedestrianised town centre within the old city walls provides a great experiential start to the tour with its numerous cafes, shops, bars and restaurants. Covering 185km of marked pistes – topped up by an additional 45km of marked ski routes – Kitzbühel has a surprisingly large ski area, and with its recent investment in snowmaking has extended its snow reliability. Kitzbühel is the perfect ski mountain to warm up those ski legs from their long hibernation. Having said that, Kitzbühel is famous for having one of the most demanding runs of the FIS downhill calendar, the Hahnenkamn.
Zürs Zürs am Arlberg is one of the most exclusive winter resorts in Austria, in what is regarded as the snowiest area of the Alps. With the opening of the Flexenbahn in 2016, all ski resorts in Arlberg are now linked to create the fifth-largest skiing region in the world; extending from St. Anton & St Christoph in Tyrol via Zürs & Lech to Warth & Schröcken in Voralberg. The area, with 88 lifts offers over 300km of high alpine diverse skiing with long runs, reliable snow and quality groomed pistes for intermediate to advanced skiers; and an abundance of off-piste terrain.
