4 Students may commute to Taylor’s Lakeside Campus using public transportation such as BRT Sunway Line (SunMed Station), KTM Komuter (Sentul – Port Klang Line), LRT (Kelana Jaya Line), Rapid KL 783 bus (from Kelana Jaya), or using the Taylor’s shuttle buses. Note : For those taking RapidKL 783 Bus or BRT, you need a Pedestrian Access Card to enter the Campus. Please refer to page 3 (Arriving at Taylor’s Lakeside Campus), point no. 2 for details.

14 New international students are to report to the Student Welfare Centre after their arrival in Malaysia (refer to the schedule and calendar below). The Group Reporting is specifically organised for all new international students. Briefing on important information such as key contact numbers, immigration rules and regulations and health insurance coverage will be conducted. The schedule is as follows: 9:15am Arrival of students at Student Life Centre (Block B Level 1) 9:30am Group Reporting 10:00am Briefing 10:30am Medical Screening (14 seater Van shuttle is provided to ferry the students from Taylor’s to Kumpulan Medic SS15 for X-Ray) We have scheduled different sessions (highlighted in RED) to cater for different arrival date. Come for the next available session (9.15am) right after the day you arrive. You only need to attend one session.

ORIENTATION HELPDESK Our staff members are here to answer any enquiries relating to your Orientation. Just approach the staff or Student Ambassadors at Campus Central for assistance! STUDENT ID Starting Wednesday (27th March) onwards during orientation week, at 0900 - 1700 All students are required to have their digital photo taken for Student ID printing. You can take your digital photo at Campus Central by presenting your original payment receipt (full-payment for the 1st Semester). Your Student ID will be ready for collection within one (1) working day after you have taken your digital photo. PROGRAMME BRIEFING Wednesday, 27th March at 1000 Students under their respective programmes will be briefed on their timetable and other faculty related matters. Take this opportunity to get to know your Faculty Members as well. INTRODUCTION TO SUPPORT SERVICES Wednesday, 27th March at 1400 The Introduction to Support Services capture key and vital information which will help new students in taking the first step towards transitioning into the campus life with enriching experiences. The session will help students to know the key services provided on campus, such as Campus Central – the one-stop student centre, Library and ICT support, amongst others. The e- Learning Academy will introduce the Blended Learning with TIMeS which is important for students to know about the online platform available in assisting, and enhancing their learning experiences. ENVIRONMENTAL, SAFETY, HEALTH & SECURITY INDUCTION Wednesday, 27th March at 1630 All students are advised to attend this workshop where they will learn how to avoid being a victim of crime through self- defense. During the briefing, different techniques and tips will be demonstrated. KL FAMILIARIZATION TRIP Saturday, 30th March The Kuala Lumpur Familiarization Trip aims to help students to get to know more about the local transportation system, the local delicacy and the uniqueness of our urban city. This trip is free, and is open to all students of Taylor‘s especially international students who would like to experience KL City first hand. 19 TUSC serves as the chief representative body for students in the institution, with representation from all the schools. They serve as key intermediary between the University and students on non- academic welfare issues and resolution, spearhead enriching initiatives to integrate students across all Schools and represent Taylor’s University for inter-varsities collaborations, networking avenues and efforts of the Ministry of Education Malaysia. Elections are held annually to elect students for its various office-bearer positions as well as positions on the governing council. The TUSC can be contacted at tusc@taylors.edu.my
