2021 VETERANS DAY PROGRAM STUDENT COUNCIL PLANS NOV. 11TH CELEBRATION VETERANS DAY PROGRAM DETAILS This year’s North High School Veterans Day Ceremony will be in the auditorium. Community members are welcome to attend, as students will be watching the ceremony remotely in classrooms. Keynote Speaker, Nick Webster, will share his compelling story with students and the Eau Claire Community. Zoe Wolfe, Student Council President and Siena Emerson, chair of Veterans Committee, will emcee the event. Please use the online tool to sign-up for Weekend Meals for this school year. Go to Weekend Kids Meal Sign-Up to sign- ECASD COMMUNITY up. NORTH HIGH WEEKLY NORTH HIGH SCHOOL Friday, Nov. 5 2021 -NORTH HIGH WEEKLY - WEARHOUSE & FOOD PANTRY STOCKIN UP BEFORE THE HOLIDAY SEASON HUSKY WEARHOUSE DONATION Thank you to Stephen and Tonia Benzschawel for a great donation of Husky clothing to the Husky WearHouse this week. We appreciate your support! NORTH FOOD PANTRY Thank you to Sam’s Club for another monthly donation to the North Food Pantry (top left). Thank you to Belinda Schoeder (mom to Amber Schoeder, Student Success Coach at North) The Husky WearHouse provides all students the opportunity to wear for a donation of food to the Pantry this week (top right). North High School apparel because when students feel included and connected to school, they are more likely to participate in the school community and achieve success. DONATE TO THE HUSKY WEARHOUSE Drop off donations to the main office at North, attention Janelle Patenaude. We would appreciate all donations to the Husky WearHouse, especially crewnecks and hoodies! 3
NORTH HIGH WEEKLY NORTH HIGH SCHOOL Friday, Nov. 5 2021 -NORTH HIGH WEEKLY - YOUTH RISK BEHAVIOR SURVEY The Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) will be administered to students at our school in early November. The survey has been designed to protect students’ privacy. Students will not put their names on the survey. This is an anonymous and voluntary survey. Survey data has been used in the district and county for multiple years and provides essential information for the several grants that the school and community receive. The YRBS enables us to plan prevention and education programs and to measure the success of these programs. A copy of the YRBS will be available in our STUDENT COUNCIL CLEANS THE LOT student services office prior to the survey being This week Student Council Members cleaned up the North administered. Thank you for doing such a great community service, students! #HuskyPride STUDENTS SHOP FOR CLOTHES AT THE HUSKY GALLERIA Husky Galleria is a place where new and gently used items (jackets, clothes, shoes, undergarments, socks, swimsuits, hygiene products, etc.) can be donated for North students. These items are redistributed to new owners free of charge. This is available to any North student. NORTH HIGH WEEKLY NORTH HIGH SCHOOL Friday, Nov. 5 2021 -NORTH HIGH WEEKLY - On Wednesday, Nov. 3rd, students and staff were asked to wear green in honor of the Chippewa Falls Girl Scout Troop #3055. Three years ago on this date, Jayna Kelley, Autumn Helgeson, Haylee Hickle, and Sara Schneider, mother of Haylee, were cleaning up trash alongside the road in Lake Hallie when they were struck by a car and killed. Last spring, members of Girl Scout Troop #3055 (left) surprised the North Food Pantry team with 100 boxes of girl scout cookies, donated by Class of 1972 North alum, Anita Harvey. That was a pretty sweet surprise! We had fun talking to the girls scouts and showing them the Food Pantry. 5

The next All Night Party planning meeting will be on Monday, Nov. 8th at 6 p.m. in the staff lounge at North High School. Email Patti Bell with questions.
