Hello Temple Theatre family and friends,
The Temple staff and I are so excited to get the
Summer Youth Conservatory started. This summer we
have selected shows that are based on literary classics,
with themes focusing on love, self discovery and self
worth. The shows are sure to be loved by the cast and
surrounding community. We can’t wait for you to
“Get Lit” with us this summer!
But wait! There’s more! We also offer opportunities for
the TVY community (theatre for the very young) known
as Rising Stars. Rising Stars will be taught by our very
own Patrick Holt, and boy, does he have some exciting
adventures planned!

MUSICAL THEATRE CONSERVATORY

DEAD MEN DON'T BITE! MUSICAL THEATRE CONSERVATORY
is a two week, full day performance conservatory for ages 8 to 18 which culminates
in a complete production in front of a live audience. Streaming options are available.
Auditions will be held on the first day of session.
Set sail on an adventure with an original musical version of Robert Louis Stevenson’s
novel, Treasure Island by Michael Hoagland and Peggy Taphorn. This coming-of-age
story narrates a tale of "buccaneers and buried gold” with treasure maps marked with
an "X", schooners, the Black Spot and tropical islands! Join Jim Hawkins on his
adventure to meet the likes of Billy Bones, Captain Flint, Dr. Livesey, John Trelawney,
Captain Smollett and Long John Silver!

The Grunch tells the story of Rudy
Grunch, a grumpy 6th grader who
always feels like an outsider. When the
entire school gets excited about the
annual school musical, he comes up
with a perfect plan to ruin it for
everyone; he’ll steal the sets, costumes

Emma is certain she knows what’s best for
her classmates’ love lives, and is determined
to find the perfect boyfriend for her shy
friend, Harriet. Will Emma’s relentless
matchmaking get in the way of finding her
own happiness? Based on Jane Austen’s
classic novel, this sparkling musical features
the hit songs of legendary girl groups and
iconic female singers. Girl power has
never sounded so good!

Rosalind is banished and with her best
friend, Celia, by her side, she journeys to By William Shakespeare
a world of exile. But not before catching
the eye of love-struck Orlando who is also
forced from the Court into the Forest... What
ensues is a riotous combination of a feisty
cross-dressing heroine, a tartan-clad fool, For children ages 4 to 7, Rising Stars
melodic songs, questionable poetry and offers 8 separate one week themed
laughs aplenty. Will love conquer all, or is it sessions. Students will enjoy classes
merely a madness? in music, art, drama and dance in a
fun, positive environment.
