2021 GOLF MEMBERSHIP
INFORMATION
Dear Prospective Golf Member of Palmetto Dunes, This past year has been a challenge for everyone. While the COVID crisis impacted travel to Hilton Head Island, golf was one of the few outdoor activities “approved” early on. We had a significant growth in Memberships as a result of new residents, along with many people choosing to work from a Hilton Head Island second home during the pandemic. While there is much to forget about 2020, we look forward to maintaining a robust membership and great golf in 2021. The Membership Plan for 2021 is enclosed. This plan continues to offer competitive options that meet the unique needs of our Membership. Rate changes have been held to an overall increase of 1%, and interest rates have been lowered for those Full Members who choose to pay bi-annually or quarterly. As in the past, our focus is to generate most of our revenues from fees paid by Resort Guests. All privileges associated with the Membership options remain the same. Full members may take advantage of free club fittings from Ken Rohlman each quarter representing XXIO, Cleveland and Srixon. Due to COVID the twilight events will not be held in 2021. I hope to have the events back in 2022. The events scheduled in 2021 are below. 1. Monthly Member “Twilight Golf” 9-hole social golf event and complimentary social hour, offered from March through November. 2. “Demo Days” to try new equipment. 3. Palmetto Dunes Championship for Men and Women. We hope that you will join us for another year of great golf! Please review the membership options for 2021 carefully. Full Membership – 12 Months Unlimited Play
This twelve-month license provides unlimited golf at the three Palmetto Dunes courses from 1/01/21
through 12/31/21.Leamington/ Palmetto Dunes property owners receive a 10% DISCOUNT off the Full
Membership published rates. “A” License Holders or those who paid that initiation fee before 7/1/2008
receive a 20% DISCOUNT off the Full Membership published rates. Discounts may NOT be combined.
Trail fee is for use of Private Carts by Leamington Residents at Arthur Hills only – fee is per
cart. An updated inspection of your cart and proof of insurance are required by February 1,
2021.

Ken Rohlman will provide opportunities quarterly for club fittings. Brands represented include XXIO, Cleveland
and Srixon. To thank each of you for being a member, these fittings are free. Special pricing may be offered
for any clubs purchased.
* “Couple” is defined as two cohabitating people in a committed and legal romantic relationship. Proof of legal
residence may be required.

There are two Membership options for those not playing golf year-round. Both options offer
play at all three Palmetto Dunes golf courses. The “Monthly “option provides unlimited golf
for any four (4) months in the calendar year, as designated by the Member, and includes use
of a Greenwood Cart. Use of a Private Cart is not an option with the “Monthly” plan. The
“Prepaid” option allows the Member to use the prepaid rounds anytime from January 1, 2021
to December 31, 2021.

The “Restricted Resident” option allows qualified Members to use Prepaid rounds anytime
from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021. Includes play at all three Palmetto Dunes
Courses.
Restricted Resident
This is a “Prepaid” option limited to 20 rounds of golf. The offering is restricted to permanent
residents of Beaufort County, and to those non-residents who own a single-family dwelling in
Palmetto Dunes/ Leamington that they use as a second home but do not rent. Upon receipt of
payment, a “punch card” will be issued to the Member. This card along with the Member’s
driver’s license must be presented each time a prepaid round is to be used to pay for golf.
Use of a Private Cart is NOT an option with this Membership Plan.

Member-Guest Policy
Guests must play with a Member to receive the Member-Guest rate. A Member may have up to (3) guests in the
group. A request may be made to the head professional for additional guests in a group, with maximum of (7)
guests. Member-Guest fees are listed below per season and include greens and cart fees. There is a limit of
three (3) times during the year when a Palmetto Dunes or Leamington resident may play at the Member-Guest
rate with any Member.
Family Member-Guest Policy
Full Members have the added benefit of a reduced “Family Member-Guest” rate. This rate only applies to those
who are immediate family relatives of the Member, defined as: parents, grandparents, siblings, children,
grandchildren, and associated spouses of the Member and these defined relatives. Also included is a card for
five (5) free rounds of golf for family relatives – the card may NOT be used for non-family guests. During
designated times those relatives age 10 or under play for free if playing with the Full Member. There is NO 9-hole
rate for either of these categories.

Tee time booking subject to availability.
Tee Times may be booked by calling our Reservation Center at 843-785-1138 or 800-827-3006. You must
identify yourself as a golf member when calling in to help speed up the booking process. Notification of short
groups or Tee times to be cancelled must be made no later than 2 days in advance of reserved time. Any tee
times made inside of 48 hours are non-cancellable times. Members who repeatedly fail to cancel or reduce
tee times will be contacted and may have their ability to reserve tee times restricted or removed. Palmetto
Dunes reserves the right to close the course for any reason with or without notice.
Food & Beverage: (Big Jim’s BBQ, Burgers, Pizza & Catering, Fazio Grille, Arthur’s Grille)
Members will receive a 20% discount applied to any Food items on the menu. Beverage discount will apply to
coffee, tea and fountain drinks served. Beverages purchased from Beverage Carts are excluded from any
discount. Member discounts cannot be applied to daily specials or any other promotions.
Medical Emergency Credit
Full Members may be eligible for a credit should an unforeseen medical emergency keep them from playing golf
for at least three consecutive months. See full policy for details.
Relocation Reimbursement
Full Members may be eligible for reimbursement of some of their annual golf fees should they relocate outside
