Malcolm Wilson Motorsport Limited was founded in 1979 and changed its name to M-Sport in 1996 when the company was awarded the Ford contract for rallying as well as competition research and development. Under Malcolm’s leadership the team enjoyed much success, including winning the FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers two years running in 2006 and 2007. In 2017, they secured the Manufacturers’ crown for a third time as well as their first FIA World Rally Championships for Drivers and Co-drivers. Growing in size and stature, M-Sport now operates a flourishing global motorsport business on the stages and circuits of some of the world’s most acclaimed motorsport series. Providing the engineering expertise behind the award-winning range of Ford rally cars as well as the Bentley Continental GT3, M-Sport has quickly become an industry leader – delivering winning performances around the globe. M-Sport’s European base is spearheaded by Maciej Woda and runs a number of operations including all of M-Sport’s two-wheel drive activities from their Central European facility in Krakow, Poland. The facility is the hub of M-Sport’s Ford Fiesta R2 programme and the FIA Junior World Rally Championship is based out of the Polish operation. M-Sport Poland also runs a number of customer-based Ford Fiesta R5 programs and is responsible for the company’s FIA European Rally Championship endeavours – securing back-to-back FIA European Rally Championships in 2015 and 2016. Continuing to expand, this year saw M-Sport Poland move to a new state-of-theart facility close to Krakow’s international airport.
SIMONE CAMPEDELLI - ORANGE1 RACING DRIVER “When I was a child, I went to see the Sanremo Rallies in which Malcolm Wilson competed and I admired him and his beautiful Ford cars. Knowing that now I’m going to run with one of his cars it gives me goosebumps! Finally, I really have everything to compete at the highest level with the right means. I really will need this material, because this year the fight will be really tough, with a very fierce and determined competition. I am too, and I repeat, now I know that I have a real team behind me and I have a very high level of material, I can finally dedicate myself to the thing that I love the most: Driving!” FORD RACING Ford and rally a winning combination that in 2018 produced the sixth Tricolor Constructor Title. To repeat this success and to aim at the Drivers’ Title in the CIR Italian Rally Championship 2019, Ford ranks the ORANGE1 RACING Fiesta R5 with Simone Campedelli’s Orange1 colors, paired with Tania Canton. The Ford Fiesta R5 will have direct support from M-Sport and from July 2019 will be replaced by the New Ford Fiesta R5 derived directly from the WRC +.
