EVENT INFORMATION COMPETITON February 16-18, 2019 DATE (Family Day long weekend – Saturday through Monday) CAMERON RECREATION CENTRE VENUE 9523 Cameron Street Burnaby, B.C. 604-297-4456 (Overflow parking available in the North Wal-Mart parking lot) REGISTRATION DEADLINES REGISTRATION On or before January 9,2019 $100 DEADLINE & January 10 to January 11 ($100 + $15) $115 FEES January 12 to January 13 ($100 + $25) $125 January 14 to February 1 ($100 + $100) $200 (Debbie McBoyle and Absolutely no entries will be accepted after Lisa Romaniuk) February 1, 2019 Only the official Excel electronic registration will be accepted. Completed forms are to be emailed to Debbie McBoyle (dmcboyle@gymbc.org) AND Lisa Romanuik (droman2@telus.net). Hard copies and other formats will NOT be accepted. Please ensure that the birth year for each athlete is correct and that the form is NOT completed in all capitals. NOTE: All athletes registered on the entry form must be properly registered with Gymnastics BC PRIOR to the Deadline for Entries. For each athlete that is not registered, a $100 fine will be levied against the club. Unregistered athletes will not be permitted on the competition floor until GBC registration is complete and all fines have been paid Please make payment via one CLUB CHEQUE payable to: PAYMENT OF SHASTA TRAMPOLINE FEES 818 Winthrop Street New Westminster, B.C. V3L 4B2 Full payment must be received BY THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE at the above address within 10 days of the registration deadline to be considered on-time. Therefore, ALL payments received after January 19, 2018 will be subject to an additional late charge of $50. Refunds will only be issued upon receipt of medical note/certificate. Synchro: L5-(Novice) / Senior Prelim Only Following the event registration deadline, age categories may be amalgamated. Groups which exceed 36 competitors will be re-aligned. Groups will be split (re-aligned) by their median age to a maximum of two age groups. Age is determined by the participant’s age as of December 31, 2019. Once the groups have been established (re-aligned and/or amalgamated) these groups will remain consistent until the final sanctioned BC Provincial event. Any new competitors will be added to the appropriate group as needed. SUBMISSION Step-by-step Reminder: and 1. Use the Online DD Sheet tool to create a DD sheet for each athlete & event (no FINES login or signup required - just use the links found in our Help Center here) 2. Download the automatically-generated PDF 3. Combine the PDF files for your club into a single PDF document (optional but recommended) 4. DD Sheets for DMT L1 and L2 DD SHEET Coaches do NOT need to indicate what passes your athletes will be competing. PLEASE LEAVE THE DD SHEET BLANK NEW – DMT ONLY Forward all changes/corrections/withdraws to: CHANGES/ LISA ROMANUIK(droman2@telus.net) CORRECTIONS / DEADLINE: Monday February 4 WITHDRAWS ** Absolutely NO changes or corrections will be accepted at the event. ** JUDGES A complete list of all registered judges must be included in on the Electronic Registration form. Information must include the event to be judged, level of certification and availability. All clubs participating in GBC Trampoline Gymnastics sanctioned meets must REMINDER provide a qualified judge at every competitive level and event that the club has athletes competing, at a ratio of one (1) judge for every five (5) athletes. A cap of seven (7) judges from any one club will be implemented. Failure to meet the required judging quota as stated above, shall result in the club being fined $20 per registered athlete over the required judging quota. Fines will be calculated by the Provincial Judging Chairperson. Invoices will be issued by GBC in a timely manner. All fines will be collected by GBC and held as part of the TG Technical Committee budget. At all national competitions, a Chief Judge may be added to the judging panel assignments. S/he may assist the organizing committee, monitor the schedule and be a reference person on the floor. S/he may evaluate the work of all the judges. JUDGE AVAILABILITY All judges must be available for a minimum of two (2) full days of the competition schedule. Consideration will be given for the athletes(s) competition schedule Consideration will be given for the coach’s competitive coaching obligations Trampoline & DMT Trampoline and DMT certified judges must be available for a MINIMUM of three (3) panels for each competitive schedule to be considered a half (0.5) judge. Trampoline and DMT certified judges must be available for available for a MINIMUM of four (4) panels for each competition schedule to be considered a full (1.0) judge Tumbling Tumbling certified judges must be available a MINIMUM of two (2) panels for each competition schedule to be considered a full (1.0) judge. TRAINING SESSIONS In order for currently certified judges to improve their abilities and encourage newer judges to become certified in more than one discipline, training sessions in a minimum of one discipline will offered at all BC Provincial Cups and GBC BC Championships. Participation will be on a voluntary basis. Each session will be facilitated by a National or FIG certified judge. The facilitator will be paid an honorarium from the TG Technical Committee judging budget, based on a summary report provided to the GBC Trampoline Coordinator by the Judging Chairperson. The facilitator will be paid based on their current rate of certification. Shasta is pleased to welcome our out-of-province guests. The Provincial Judging Chair OUT OF has asked that ALL guest groups provide a minimum of one NATIONAL LEVEL judge who PROVINCE will be available for the entire event. GUESTS ISS Scoring Program will be used. SCORING In both the preliminary and final round, there will be No ties. Athletes will automatically TIES be ranked according to the GCG Regulations. Coaches and spotters MUST dress appropriately COMPETITION Appropriate training suit, excluding hats, shorts, midriff tops, ripper or torn clothing ATTIRE or similar (Coaches & Spotters) Top: t-shirt, polo shirt or CLUB track jacket Appropriate indoor sport footwear Dress for Competitors COMPETITION All athletes must dress in their CURRENT club’s team competitive attire for all preliminaries ATTIRE at all BC Provincial Cups unless prior approval of the TGTC is given. Any/all athletes not dressed in their clubs’ team competitive attire will receive a 0.1 dress code violation per routine/pass. (Athletes) Those athletes participating in any team event (s) must be dressed in identical team competitive attire during all preliminary rounds of competition. Failure to do so will result in the team being disqualified from any/all TEAM EVENTS. Women: Leotard with or without sleeves (must be skin tight) Long tights or full-length one-piece leotard will be accepted Men: Sleeveless or short sleeve singlet Gym trousers in a single colour, except black or any other deep dark colour, OR gym shorts. Length of shorts must not be longer than half thighs. Footwear: Mandatory for TR and DMT. TU may compete barefoot. TG Women: White trampoline shoes and/or white foot covering TG Men: White trampoline shoes and/or foot covering of the same colour as the trousers Jewellery No jewelry may be worn by competitors, spotters and coaches acting as spotters. Taping of jewelry is not adequate. Medic alert bracelets can be worn, but must be taped. Support pieces can be white or beige in colour. Warm-up When warm-up is conducted in the competition gym all competitors and coaches must dress in competition attire or equivalent. TBC Following the 2:30 pm Awards registration deadline LEVEL 4 through SENIOR competitors All efforts will be made to schedule the preliminary and finals rounds for trampoline, double mini and tumbling, in the same block. If this is not possible, every effort will be made to schedule the preliminary and finals rounds for trampoline, double mini and tumbling on the same day. The athletes’ best qualifying scores at two (2) ELIGIBLE BC Provincial welcome 12 athletes Cup AND/OR BC Championships shall be totaled, and shall count towards team this season selection. All Team BC athletes will stay and be under the direct supervision of the Team Coordinator at the designated Team BC hotel. Specific Instructions will be provided prior to departure in order for all Team BC members to assemble at the Team BC hotel at the designated time.
