Events will proceed without delay if competition is running ahead of published schedule. Athlete march on and introductions will be approximately 15 minutes prior to event start time, immediately following the end of the previous event. NO MARCH ON’S FOR SEMI FINALS - STRAIGHT INTO WARM UP The break between events will comprise of an athlete introduction, warm up. No athletes are to be on the boards during the athlete introduction. DRYLAND The dryland will be available use during this competition, however: • No food and drink (except water) • Train in a safe way to promote diving skills and respect all equipment • No athletes are allowed on the dryland equipment unless under the direct supervision of an accredited coach Please be aware that we will be sharing the dryland with some clubs. We will try to make sure there is little impact to the divers. Please ensure that you are respectful to the other patrons using the dryland & venue. ACCREDITATION PASSES Accreditation passes for athletes, coaches, judges and volunteers can be collected from the first training session. These passes are to be used to gain entry into the venue for training and competition days. Due to COVID restriction only Accredited personnel will have access to pool deck. During events only athletes, coaches, judges and event staff involved in the current event will have access to pool deck during competition. All other accredited personnel will need to sit in the accredited section in the stand. ATHLETES SPORTS DESK The athlete’s sports desk will be located in the athlete’s marshalling area. Event fields and results will be posted here for the benefit of participants only along with the mini dive sheets for signing and any other relevant information for the athlete’s. WARM UP AREA & STRETCHING MATS There will be stretching mats available for warm up located the marshalling area. Please do not remove the mats from this area. INFORMATION DISPLAY POINT (IDP) An Information Display Point (IDP) will be behind the spectator stands.
DIVE SHEETS Diving Australia use DiveRecorder for all Australian events. Please go to DiveRecorder complete an On-line DiveSheet Please ensure that you: • enter the correct Championships: 2021 AUS World Cup Team Selection Trials • enter full State Name (e.g. New South Wales, South Australia, etc) for Team Name. • enter a two or three letter acronym in capitals for your State (e.g. NSW, SA, etc) for Team Code. • DO NOT ENTER SIS/SAS FOR ANY TEAM NAME • enter the correct dive number, shape and board height for the dive by using the tab key to move between data fields within the on-line dive sheet. • Once you’ve entered your dive lists please remember to click on SUBMIT • leave the web browser page open after lodgement until you receive a confirmation that the dive sheet has been accepted. • Please ensure that your email address is correct • Dive sheets must be submitted before 10am the day before your event. LATE LODGEMENT COULD INCUR A PENALTY. • IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE AN EMAIL CONFIRMATION, PLEASE CHECK WITH COMPETITION MANAGEMENT AS YOUR SHEETS HAVE MOST LIKELY NOT BEEN RECEIVED. Once all dive sheets have been received: • A mini dive list with signature panel will be displayed at the Athletes Sports Desk for athletes and coaches to view between 10.30am and noon on the day before each event. • It is not compulsory to sign to confirm, but the option is provided. • If you feel your dive list is incorrect or you have any discrepancies, these must be verified by proof of original lodgement in consultation with, and approval from, the event Referee. DO NOT AMEND ON THE SHEET WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURE An official withdrawal form will be available at the Competition Administration Office. This form must be completed and signed by the athlete, coach or team manager and handed to the event Referee or taken to the Competition Administration Office. Early receipt of withdrawals is always appreciated. TEAM LEADERS MEETING A Team Leaders Meeting will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, 26th March. The Team Leaders Meeting will provide Team Managers, Coaches and Officials with the most current and up to date information on the competition. At this meeting, team representatives are required to confirm the entries of their athletes. All States / Institutes / teams should be represented at this meeting, and it is essential that this information is passed on to all competing athletes and other relevant parties. DOPING CONTROL Sport Integrity Australia (SIA) who represent the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority may be conducting drug testing during the championships. TECHNICAL OFFICIALS Referees and Judges are asked to wear navy shorts / skirt / pants (NO denim) and predominately white, closed footwear while officiating. All officials are required to wear the official polo shirt while officiating. Officiating panels will be published daily and posted for viewing from the Competition Administration Office window and officials breakout room. Any Technical Official unable to fulfill any of their rostered duties is asked to notify the Referee of the event. All judges are requested to report to the officials table during the warm-up of the event they are judging in.
VOLUNTEER WORKFORCE All volunteers and recording secretaries are asked to wear navy shorts / skirt / pants (NO denim) and predominately white, closed footwear while officiating. All volunteers and recording secretaries are required to wear the official polo shirt while officiating. Recording staff are requested to report to the recording table 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. Any recording secretary not able to fulfill a rostered duty is asked to notify Competition Manager – Jodie Gillam – 0414 964 062 COMPETITION CONDITIONS A preliminary, semi-final and final competition will be held for the Men’s & Women’s 3 Metre and Platform individual events. A preliminary and final competition will be held for the Men’s & Women’s 3 Metre and Platform synchronised events. The winner of the event will be the diver (or synchronised pair) with the highest aggregate score across all contested rounds. That is, scores from earlier rounds will be carried over into the final (on DiveRecorder as well) and the highest combined score will be announced the event winner. The top eighteen (18) divers from the Preliminary round of the individual 3 Metre and Platform events will proceed to the Semi-Final. The top twelve (12) from the Semi-Final of the individual 3 Metre and Platform events will proceed to the Final. The top twelve (12) divers from the Preliminary round of the Men’s and Women’s 3m & Platform synchronised events will proceed to the Final. FINA Degree of Difficulty criteria will apply to all events. PRE COMPETITION PROCEDURES Marshalling of Athletes & Athlete March-on Athletes are asked to assemble in the Marshalling area for their introductions for all preliminary and final events. o Please report to the marshalling area prior to the last round of the event before yours, to be ready to march-on immediately it concludes. o There will be no introductions for Semi-Finals When the event is announced, athletes will march onto the pool deck. The announcer will introduce each athlete individually. The athletes will then march off, and a short warm-up for their event will commence. o At the conclusion of the warm-up, the boards will be closed, officials will be introduced, and the event will commence. Only Athletes in the first event of all sessions will be called to marshal during the general training session if it is a preliminary or a final. Once they are introduced, they will commence their short warm-up. If it is a semi-final the competition boards will only be open to those competitors in the next event. No towels or chamois are to be worn for introductions. Full shoe is not compulsory; ‘flip flops‘ will be satisfactory. COMPETITION PROCEDURES – COVID19 VENUE PROCEDURES ONLY athletes, coaches, judges and event personnel involved in the current event are permitted on pool deck. Athletes and coaches participating in the competition are requested to use the seating / areas provided. Athletes and coaches not involved in the event along with all support staff MUST sit in the allocated area in the grandstand. POST COMPETITION PROCEDURES The march on for the next event, if it is a preliminary or final, will immediately follow the conclusion of the event. If it is a semi- final the warm-up will immediately follow the conclusion of the event.
WORLD CUP TEAM SELECTION Only current DA National Squad members will be eligible to be selected for the World Cup Team. Please refer to the current Diving Australia Selection Policy. REFRESHMENTS Refreshments will be available for officials, coaches and event volunteers on competition days. RESULTS & LIVE STREAMING Diving Australia will be live streaming the event please click here to view. Results may be accessed electronically from the DiveRecorder website. SPECTATORS – COVID19 REGULATIONS Diving Australia is not charging a spectator fee for this event. As part of the QLD Government’s COVID-19 “Return to Play” policy, Brisbane Aquatic Centre spectator regulations will apply at this event. Spectator entry is only via the outside concourse alongside Results Physio. Signage will be in place for directions. The regulations specify athletes & accredited personnel are NOT allowed to mingle indoors with spectators. In the grandstand there will be an allocated area for athletes and accredited personnel (support staff, judges, volunteers etc) to sit. All non-accredited personnel and spectators (family and friends) will need to sit in an allocated seat in their designated spectator area within the grandstand. Event specific QR Code scanning will be required by all spectators upon entry to the venue which is where you will then allocate yourself a seat number. PLEASE ENSURE YOU FOLLOW THE REGULATIONS. IF QLD HEALTH TURN UP AND FIND WE ARE NOT ABIDING BY THE PROTOCOLS, THEY WILL SHUT THE DOWN OUR EVENT. If family & friends wish to socialise with athletes or any accredited personnel, they must do this outside away from the building. If any restrictions change, we will notify everyone as soon as possible.
