2 Virtual Orientation weeks Program March ‘21 A warm welcome to Aalen from the International Relations Office (IRO) of Aalen University. We are happy to host you as an international student in summer semester 2021. On the following pages, you will find the program of our welcome weeks for international students. The sessions are mainly held digitally this semester due to social distancing – but we hope to make your stay go as smoothly as possible through digital support. It is a difficult time with restrictions; however, if we look out for each other and follow the hygiene regulations, we can make the most of it for sure… Stay safe! 8 Other Suggested Activities for your Free Days: Most places to visit for sightseeing are closed due to the current Covid situation, however, we recommend you to enjoy your time here anyway – while respecting the hygiene regulations… Touristy trips to other places are not recommend under the current situation. To breathe some fresh air, here are some tips for leisure activities in your free time in Aalen: Supermarkets Try a regional beer or Swabian food like Virtual City Tour through Aalen “Maultaschen” or “Krautschupfnudeln” etc. To go sightseeing in Aalen, check out 17 Keep in mind that in Germany shops stations in the city centre.
