Child & Family Services 50+ Bean Bag Camp Squigadoodle (Easter Camp) Looking for a new fun activity this winter? Join us for our 50+ With two theme days and three exciting outings planned, Camp Bean Bag Program beginning on Friday January 12. This activity Squigadoodle is back for another fun filled week! 50+ EVENTS Snow & Ice features fun and friendly competition for the 50+ Community. We’ll be hosting cards, shuffle board February games and darts at the Rotary Youth and Community Centre. 9 - 18, ANNUAL TEXAS HOLD’EM POKER TOURNAMENT Get ready to ante up for the Annual Texas Hold’em Snow & Ice Poker Tournament. The total payout could be up to 2018 $500, with prizes awarded to the top four players. There is also a door prize and more given out throughout the event. CUTTING EDGE WRESTLING Don’t miss a moment of the action as Cutting Edge Wrestling returns to the Paradise Double Ice Complex for an action-packed show. YOUTH CENTRE/SKATE PARK EVENTS Join us at the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre for ping pong and rock wall competitions. The Rona SK8 Park will also be full of competitors on skateboards, rollerblades and scooters showing off their best tricks. This year marks the 23rd Annual Snow & Ice in Paradise Festival! You can expect camp fires at the bottom of the sliding hill, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, fun zones, free hot chocolate and prize draws! The fun doesn’t stop there! Other great Snow & Ice in Paradise events include: SKATING EVENTS PRE-TEEN DANCE Come together at the Paradise Double Ice Complex for an afternoon of free skating fun. Snow & Ice 2018 includes a Pre-teen Dance for youth ages 7 to 12 years. Canteen service will be available. All proceeds collected from the dance will go towards Guiding Groups of Paradise. FIREWORKS YOUTH/ADULT SPORTS We’re closing out Snow & Ice in Paradise with a fantastic fireworks display. The fireworks will be set-off behind Youth and adults are invited to join in for Snow & Ice dodgeball and ball hockey tournaments. Active Living Fitness Classes Active Living Looking to get active? A new year means a new start! The Town of Paradise works hard to provide residents with the tools they need to meet their fitness goals, and lead healthy and active lives. We look forward to a fun and active season with classes beginning the week of January 8. Get active in Paradise Registration for winter classes opens 9:00 a.m. on January 4 and is available online only through the Paradise.ca/Fitness. Once you have accessed the site, you will need to create an account if you have not already (this can be done before registration). Please ensure that you create a sub account for each participant registering for the program under your account. To create an account, click on the “Create Account” button on the homepage.
