in-cosmetics Global celebrates success with its first smart event Back in Amsterdam for the first time in ten years, in-cosmetics Global returned for the 29th instalment of the show, but this time with a digital facelift. Thanks to smart visitor badges and stand readers, making the right connections for that next cosmetic creative was made easier and even more efficient. And yet, smart technology was only the start of the show’s 2018 story: innovation echoed throughout the event with new initiatives Boost your test, the R&D tours, the Pre-Regulatory Show Conference, and the much- anticipated Formulation Challenge, seeing collaboration and creativity celebrated in abundance. The event was a resounding success, with 9,414 unique visitors (7% more than last year in London) flooding into the exhibition halls over three days to meet with 773 exhibitors. Fragrances were spritzed, pigments were tried, and formulas were tested for their innovative textures and benefits across 16,634m2 of floorspace – which made 2018 the biggest show in in-cosmetics history. The exhibition also saw a 19% increase from last year in international visitor attendance, joining exhibitors from 43 countries - 11% of which were presenting their products at the event for the first time – making this year a truly global show. My favourite part of the Key Statistics in-cosmetics show is the multitude of innovation on offer. Unique visitor attendance: I split my time between catching 9,414 (+7% vs 2017) up with suppliers face-to-face and seeking out the most exciting new Total (including re-visits): products coming to the market. 18,256 For me, it really is an • Day 1: 7,282 unmissable event. • Day 2: 7,282 Katrin Thiel, Technology Manager - • Day 3: 4,212 Scouting Raw Materials, Beiersdorf (Visitor) International visitors vs Dutch visitors 88% 12% www.in-cosmetics.com/global

The show provides an unmissable opportunity to meet my contacts in reality - I managed to meet an incredible number within three short days and some of them were first-time meetings. It is so important to be able to get that face- to-face time to strengthen relationships and in-cosmetics is brilliant for gathering the entire industry in one place and faciliating networking this way Dominic Hodge, Strategic Operations Buyer, Coty (Visitor) www.in-cosmetics.com/global
