DUT CURRICULUM SHORT COURSES THAT ARTICULATE TO: NATIONAL DIPLOMA: Sport Management BACHELOR OF APPLIED SCIENCE: Sport Science And Management PURPOSE OF THE COURSES The courses have a blended learning approach which provides the necessary grounding for a professional career in sport. By adding sport science and management aspects to the programme, a more holistic student will be developed. The courses aim to ensure that graduates will be able to operate effectively and be recognized as a professional by the sport industry. The courses have a core discipline of sport science and the management aspects play a supportive role which allows the student to apply this knowledge base in a practical context. This symbiotic relationship that exists between sport science and management complements one another and will produce a student ARTICULATION OF CURRICULUM DELIVERED AT The Sharks that is holistically skilled and educated in the fields of sport science and management. ETA COLLEGE HIGHER CERTIFICATE: FITNESS (YEAR 1, LEVEL 5) - CHE NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN SPORT MANAGEMENT (YEAR 2, LEVEL 5) - CATHSSETA The Higher Certificate in Fitness will qualify you to work in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, fitness instructor / trainer or wellness The course (National Diploma in Sport Management) objective is to give consultant. HIGHER CERTIFICATE: SPORT, RECREATION & FITNESS MANAGEMENT (YEAR 1, LEVEL 5) - CHE The Higher Certificate in Sport, Recreation & Fitness Management qualifies you to work in the field of sport or fitness management as well as in administration. With position specific coaching, supported by our highly qualified Conditioning department, we provide the environment and tools for our players to improve in all fundamental factors of performance needed to achieve higher goals in their rugby career. REFEREE PROGRAM The Referee Program is designed to assist young aspiring Rugby Referees in developing the necessary skills to Referee the game of Rugby to the best of their ability. They follow a unique program which covers areas such as Physical Conditioning, Technical on field requirements, Visual Training and off field skills.
