CABINET VISION Maintenance Expiry Date To run CABINET VISION 2021.0, the maintenance expiry date in your license must be October 2020 or later.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 CV Reimagined Core, Industry Solutions, Multipliers, and Additions CABINET VISION Reimagined starts with you, our Customer. At the heart of CV Reimagined we are aligning our solutions to your processes. In order to simplify the buying, selling, and training of CABINET VISION we are taking a much simpler approach to how we package the product with Version 2021. We have redesigned the product, so each component is a solution that meets a specific need you face. We are going to start with what everyone needs and that is the Core product. The Core includes all the basics; Layout, cut listing, basic rendering and limited estimating functionality. This puts everyone on a level playing field. Every manufacturing customer will have the same “Core” functionality. By the way, the Core does have full Object Intelligence and UCS capabilities. Next you select your industry solution. You can currently pick Cabinets or Closets or both. To your Core industry solution, you can then add multipliers. These multipliers are focused on specific functionality based on your processes and allows you to take the product and your business to the next level. The first of these multipliers is xRendering which gives you photorealistic rendering capabilities. The next multiplier is x2D CAD which includes the 2D CAD tools that are necessary if you are submitting drawings to architects. The next multiplier is xCountertops, if you build your own Countertops then this is a multiplier can save a lot of time related to manufacturing your own Countertops. xCRM is a lightweight Customer Contact Manager and Job Revision tracker. Then we have xShaping; which includes assembly shaping, part shaping, the CAM Editor and other related functionality. Next is xBidding which includes custom Rate Tables, Labor calculations, and Advanced Bid Reports. Then xReporting, which includes over 150 reports and a custom report editor. Next is xOptimizer for Saw Optimization. And finally, the last, but certainly not least, multiplier we have is xMachining, our Screen to MachineTM solution.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Some of these Multipliers can be taken even further with Additions. The first of these is the +Tour Addition which can be added to the xRendering Multiplier and is a new product we are introducing with Version 2021. This addition, which runs as a separate 64-bit App, allows you to take your design directly from CABINET VISION and perform a real time high quality rendered walk through. The next Addition was recently released for Version 12 and that is the +Submittals addition for x2D CAD. The +Submittals addition was developed primarily to address the needs of the North American market to aid in more quickly creating Architectural Submittals in commercial casework. For those with the xBidding multiplier you have the option of adding the +Catalog Editor. If you need NC Output with the xOptimizer Multiplier you simply add the +Saw addition. For those with the xMachining Multiplier you can add Labels, Simulation and whatever Machines you require. These additions are the greatest example of taking something which was previously very complex and making it very simple. For example, if you get a +Router Machine you get Block Nesting, TrueShape Nesting, Offcut Management and all other ultimate level capabilities necessary to run your Router including a Post or CAM Link.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 We are also introducing CABINET VISION Design, a product which is designed specifically to meet the needs of designers in a retail setting. This will be an excellent solution for designers who do not need the overhead and complexity of manufacturing data.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Doors User Interface As part of our long-term vision to update both the infrastructure and presentation of CABINET VISON we are introducing an all new Door Manager (formerly Door Catalog) to Version 2021. The new Door Manager has a new interface consistent with the other new Managers we have been bring into CABINET VISION starting with the Material Manager in Version 9. With full Custom Search capability along with ribbon navigation this is a much easier to navigate and more robust interface to manage your Doors. Finger Pulls Finger Pulls were possible in previous versions by some heavy customization and swapping out components intended for other uses. With CV 2021 we have made Finger Pulls, as either Hardware or a machined Profile, part of the core CV experience. Finger Pull Material Finger Pull Profile

CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Section Editor The new Door Section Editor (Formerly Construction tab) gives you a lot more control over your Door Sectioning. Including the capability to access a Part List for your current Door in realtime.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 CAD Shaping We have added CAD Shaping to the Door Manager. CAD Shaping is much more flexible than the previous node shaping and is also consistent with the CAD Shaping available throughout the rest of CABINET VISION.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 CAM Editor In previous versions you were limited to only adding a Route to a Door. With Version 2021 the full CAM Editor has been made available for Doors opening a lot of manufacturing possibilities previously only achievable with heavy customization with User Created Standards.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Applied Door Moldings A long-requested feature finally available CV 2021 is Applied Inside and Outside Edge Moldings. Created as Material Molding. Assigned to the Applied Inside Edge and/or Applied Outside Edge Molding parts in the Door Material Schedule. Then control their position per the Inside and/or Outside Door Edge Profile.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Search Tags To make Search even easier, especially in larger Door catalogs, you can add Search Tags to your Doors. Multi-Door Material and Profile Assignment When needing to add a newly created Material Schedule or Profile to multiple Door Style within your Door catalog you previously had to do it one Door style at a time. With CV 2021 we are introducing the Assign Materials and Assign Profiles utilities that can be used to quickly add new Material Schedules and Profiles to multiple Door styles very easily.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Nested Door Associations With previous versions of CV you could only go one deep with your Door Associations. With CV 2021 you can create unlimited Door Associations using simple size matrices as illustrated below. Mirror Door Copy When copying a Door you now have the choice to mirror the copy. This makes creating matching asymmetrical Doors very easy. Doors Stored with the Job In previous versions of CABINET VISION Doors were global and pulled from the System on-demand. With CV 2021 the Doors are stored within the Job which increases job performance and makes it much easier to share jobs with others.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Assemblies Shadowline (Handle-less) Construction Options A big addition to CABINET VISION 2021 is the new capability to engineer shadowline handle-less construction. This very popular solution taking frameless cabinet construction to the next level has previously only been available via some very complex custom programming in CABINET VISION. Now part of the Core it is simple to engineer your handle-less cabinetry in CV. Shadowline (Handle-less) Cabinet Properties In addition to defining Shadowline Construction you can also control the configuration of the Shadowline per Cabinet in Cabinet Properties available at the Assembly Level Section Editor.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Shadowline (Handle-less) Face Splits With both vertical and horizontal mid-splits in the Section Editor you can disable the configured Shadowling. This capabilities allows you to get more creative with your Shadowline designs. Sink Skirt and Tops In a recent Version we added the ability to define Sink Skirts but the addition of a Sink Skirt would remove your cabinet Top. We have now added an option in the construction method to leave your Top and also specify the connection that happens when your Sink Skirt and Top meet.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Sub End and Top Grain Direction As Horizontal Grained Jobs become more and more common we have been able to add Grain direction options to both the Sub End and Top Parts in CV 2021. Sub End Machining Face With CV 2021 we have added the option to control the Machining Face on Sub End Parts.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Bidding Modernized Look & Feel The Bid Center in CV 2021 received a much-needed user interface revamp. The interface is not only cleaner but you should also find significant improvements in performance.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 xCRM xCRM Multiplier With CABINET VISION Version 2021 we are introducing the xCRM Multiplier which is a lightweight Customer and Job Revision manager.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Drawings Control Dimension by Live Scene In order to aid in the efficiency of creating architectural submittals we have given you the capability to control the dimensions on Live Drawing Scenes. Rather than needing multiple static Drawing Scenes to communicate your design intent you can now do the same with a few clicks in your Live Scenes.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 General Features Customize Quick Access Toolbar & Ribbon Being able to adapt the user interface of CABINET VISION to the way you work is important. Knowing this we have added the ability to customize the Quick Access Toolbar and the Ribbon. Keyboard Shortcuts Click reduction is important to save you time the capability to set your own keyboard shortcuts is a much- anticipated feature that is finally available in CV 2021.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Walk Throughs Sometimes it takes a 3D walkthrough to give your client a feel for how your design will work for them. We have given you a new capability in 3D View where you can take your saved 3D views and turn them into a seamless walk through of your design. Modern Button Images A nice refresh to the user interface with new modern button images.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 New Modern User Interface Styles CABINET VISION Version 2021 has 4 new modern user interface Style to choose from: Colorful, White, Dark Gray, and Black. Single Construction, Door, Material Datastore With CV 2021 we have combined the Construction (CxConstruction.mdf), Material (CxMaterial.mdf) and Door (.DDB) databases into a single CV (CVData.mdf) SQL database.

CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Nesting Scrap Cutting When cutting Parts from Nests it is not unusual to have hard to manage scrap cuts because of their awkward shape and sizes. With CV 2021 we have introduced a new feature that allows you to set rules to cut scrap into smaller pieces which makes for easier disposal reducing labor costs at your nested based router.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Part & Material Managers Shadowline Channel Material If you don’t make your own Shadowlines then the new Shadowline Channel Materials is what you use to specify Shadowline Channel Hardware extrusions which you purchase. Peanut 1 & 2 Connector Types In CABINET VISION 2021 we have incorporated Intelligent Fixings Peanut 1 and Peanut 2 connectors.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Profile Manager Door Profiles The creation and definition of Door Profiles has been moved from the Door Catalog into the Profile Manager. This means you have full CAD Shaping of Door Profiles. Of course, the new Finger Pull Door Profile has also been added in the Profile Manager.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 Rendering +Tour Addition With CABINET VISION Version 2021 we are introducing the +Tour Addition to the line-up. +Tour let’s you take the Walk Through you establish in CV to the next level. From 3D View in CV quickly pass your scene to the new +Tour application where you can perform advanced real time rendered walk throughs.
CABINET VISION What’s New 2021 User Created Standards Collapsible Nodes In CABINET VISION 2021 we have introduced collapsible If…End If nodes in UCS’s. This makes editing and troubleshooting UCS code much easier.
