YOUTH CAMPS GENÇLİK KAMPLARI In this infopack you will find all necessary information to participate in the project. Please read this carefully and if you have any question, don’t hesitate to contact us
1. SHORT SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT Our institution, which has very wide working areas, carries out many activities / projects / activities in the national dimension and wants to be as an oublic body which is frequently done in international activities, even though it is partially done. But; European opportunities and foreign language learning are not common enough across the country, especially among young people in our province. Although some institutions and NGOs are working in this direction from time to time, they are not at the desired level. That is why we want young people to learn Erasmus + and other European Opportunities as well as to develop foreign language skills. In this context, it is aimed that both volunteers from Italy and Germany will be able to do more research on young people about EU projects through volunteers (both by means of non-formal education methods) and by the development of foreign language skills of young people as well as volunteers who witness young people practically to a European project experience with volunteers.
1. SHORT SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT Project preparation activities, volunteer selection and volunteer preparations will be completed in the summer and volunteers will come to our city with the start of the schools. (September 15, 2018) Within the scope of the project, which will be a long-term European voluntary service, our volunteers will take part in our activities for one year - International experience of volunteers - Increase volunteer skills - Providing support to the young people in our country at the point of development of language skills - Transmitting EU opportunities to young people in our province with non-formal education methods And so it is aimed to increase the willingness of volunteers for the young people in the region, to have enough knowledge about EU opportunities and to improve their language skills.
2. TRAVEL ROUTE You can use both airport in İstanbul to arrive Bolu. Sabiha Gökçen Airport is easier and closer than Atatürk Airport for transportation Bolu - For Sahiba Gökçen There are services of bus companies. You have to use these services. Other transportation ways are complex and take long time Bus Companies Bus fees is among 45 Metro Turizm and 60 Turkish Lira (approximate 10-15 Kamil Koç Euro) When you arrive Bolu bus station we’ll welcome you in the bus Station
- For Atatürk Airport You should go to Esenler Bus Station by Metro st. Metro is about 800 meters away by walking . You will go to the from Atatürk Airport Station to Esenler. Esenler is last station. Jeton is 4 Turkish Lira (approximate 1 Euro). You can choose bus company (Metro turizm and Kamil Koç) Bus fees are among 40 and 60 Turkish Lira (approximate 10-15 Euro) When you arrive Bolu bus station we’ll welcome you in the bus Station Bus Companies Bus fees is among 45 Metro Turizm and 60 Turkish Lira Kamil Koç (approximate 10-15 Euro)
3. Practical İnformation What do you put in your luggage: - Clothes for 7 days (be prepared for all kind of weather : rain and sunny) - Sturdy walking shoes - Towels - Swimming clothes - Cap or Head to protect you from the insects - Sunglasses - Sunscreen -shampoo - Your passport - Mobile phone * Healty services are provided in the camp center. * A washing machine is available * Wi-fi is available Meals • Breakfast 7:30 - 8:30 • Lunch 12:00 -13:30 • Dinner 18:00 - 1930
4. Location Bolu is located between İstanbul and Ankara (capital city of Turkey). İstanbul is 280 km to Bolu, Ankara is 200 km to Bolu
Bolu Youth Center (working place) is on showed point 1 and İzzet Baysal Camp Center (accommodation place for volunteers) is on showed point 2. Also; youth center is 1 km far from city center
The city blessed with natural beauties Bolu, located in the Western Black Sea Region of Turkey, is one of the most enchanting tourism centre of Turkey with its mountains covering. This lovely city sets amid the two large metropolises, Ankara and the city border, lakes, clean and fresh air and green natüre forests, İstanbul, moreover, since the roads connecting these metropolises run through the city, reaching to the area is quite easy. For being near by to big cities, more and more people become more interested in Bolu. Bolu was settled in upper plateu which is located among the mountains of Bolu and Köroğlu, which plays a vital role to facilitate the transition to the metropolises. Locating in such an important geopolitical area, Bolu keeps its importance for outsiders. A moderate and rainy Black Sea climate is dominant in the district where the forests cover the %55 of the land. In Bolu, which is famous for its lakes, the forested countrysides around the lakes are excellent for trekking, mountain climbing, rafting, off-road, paragliding, water and wintersports, camping caravan trips. Bolu always provide a suitable atmosphere for the visitors all year around. You may enjoy four seoson in Bolu while staying in the hospitable resorts, motels and pensions.

Sport Tourism in Bolu Kartalkaya Ski Resort is located on the peak of the Köroğlu Mountains (2378 m). The centre is equipped with 13 ski runs (30 km length in total) and 9 ski-tows and offers comfortable hotels with a total capacity of 1500 beds Abant Mountains have more than one take off runways appropriate for the paragliding activities at the skirts of the Abant Mountains, generally performed on the hills surrounding Örencik Plateau, close to Abant Lake, wide, plain and fully covered with grass

7. Agreements • Activity dates and hours may be changed by director of youth center according to circumstances • Each volunteer is expected to participate the whole program. It’s responsibility of each volunteer to be in time for all activities. • By the begin as by the end of the project each participant is obligated to put a signature on the participant list. This is necessary to proof your participation in the project. • Only with permission of the project coordinator/youth center director or mentor you are permitted to leave the youth center. • During the activities most of people speak Turkish. We expect from volunteers to learn basic turkish words. Generally youth leaders know English. They will help you for communication. Also you can find basic Turkish words that you will need 8. 10. Foods The amount of calories the athletes needs is the sport food according to the menus prepared together with dietitians in our Ministry, (three meals, one meal and four meals) are distributed.
