FIRST CALL LETTER INDIAN ASSOCIATION OF ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL PATHOLOGISTS XXVII NATIONAL CONFERENCE 2018 16 -18th November, 2018 Radisson Blu, Amritsar, Punjab www.iaomp2018.com Email: iaomp2018@gmail.com
Invitation Dear Colleagues and Friends, It is a great pleasure and honour to extend a warm invitation to you all to attend the XXVII National Conference of Indian Association of Oral & Maxillo-Facial Pathologists, 2018. It is for the first time since the inception of IAOMP that the conference will be set in the beautiful historic city of Amritsar, Punjab from 16th-18th November, 2018. Located on the north-western part of the subcontinent, Punjab, compound of two Persian words, panj (“five”) and āb (“water”), is the land of five rivers–Sutlej, Beas, Ravi, Jhelum, and Chenab which flow through its vast plains. It is one of the smaller albeit prosperous states of the nation and is home to buoyant, hospitable and dynamic people. Widely acknowledged as the cradle of civilization, it is a land of ethnic, religious and historical diversity which is beautifully reflected through the countless sites that dot the state: ancient monuments like impressive forts and palaces, architectural marvels and many a battlefield. The city of Amritsar, home to the iconic Golden Temple, is a dazzling showcase of composite culture and secular heritage and has been hailed as ‘the home of all virtues’ (sifti da ghar). The city is one of the most sought after destinations and the delegates can visit Jallianwala Bagh, Partition Museum, Wagah Border, War Memorial, Gobindgarh Fort, Pul Kanjari and Durgiana Temple. Even as you find it hard to escape India’s staggering colonial history here, it would be a sin to skip the local food. Under the theme, Innovate Integrate Motivate, the Organizing Committee has planned an excellent academic programme for budding oral pathologists and specialists. The conference is aimed at tackling certain critical issues and challenges facing our organization today. We need to solve common problems with common solutions. Come, share and learn how we can work together to make it happen. The conference will be a forum for the discussions on various aspects of molecular basis of oral lesions and ingenious exchange of ideas by the Big Stalwarts for engaging the minds of younger oral pathologists so that every participant will go back with lifetime memories of XXVII National IAOMP Conference, Amritsar. "Ji Aayan Nu”, we look forward to welcoming you to the vibrant city of Amritsar. Warm regards, Dr. Simarpreet Virk Sandhu Dr. Raman Deep S. Narang Organizing Chairman Organizing Secretary
