Paris Holiday Market 2015 @ Denver Public Library Call to Vendors – For immediate release, April 21, 2015 Description of the event: 5th Annual Paris Holiday Market Drawing inspiration from the holiday markets that spring up all over Paris in November and December, this trunk show is an opportunity for talented crafters, designers and artists to show and sell their wares to customers interested in supporting local creatives. Paris Holiday Market provides a warm and inviting environment for you to sell your goods to early holiday shoppers and to your own clientele as well. This is a fifth annual event and Paris Holiday Market is a great holiday tradition highlighting local crafters and artisans. It is held in the Denver Public Library and all vendor fees benefit Fresh City Life – adult cultural programming at DPL. Date: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, November 6-8, 2015 Market Hours: 6-9p (Friday preview party, new this year), 10a-7p (Saturday, new longer hours), 12-4p (Sunday, new shorter hours) Set up will be 5p-10p on Thursday, November 5. Tear down will begin at 4p on Sunday. Place: Central Library, 10 W. 14th Ave. Pkwy., Denver CO 80204 Cost: $125.00 per booth space. $150.00 per booth for two vendors (maximum two vendors per space). Deadlines and Notifications 1. Deadline to apply for the Paris Holiday Market is Monday, July 6, 2015. 2. Accepted vendors will be notified by Friday, July 10, 2015. 3. Payment for your booth guarantees your spot in the fair (cash, check or credit card) is due by Friday, July 31, 2015. Arrange for your application drop off and payment by contacting Chris at cloffel@denverlibrary.org 4. Two vendors can share a booth space. Both vendors must apply on the same application. Booth space fee is shared ($150). 5. Detailed information about load in, set up and break down will be shared with all accepted vendors by October 2.
6. Booth Assignments will be communicated at the time of your initial load-in for the event. 7. Notifications and event updates will be emailed. Check your email (and spam) on or around September 4 for the first round of information about the show. 8. All vendors will be ready for ‘doors open’ at 6p on Friday, November 6. Set-Up and Operations of Vendor Booths Booth Requirements: • Each vendor will receive an 8’X 8’ space. • Vendors can provide their tables, seating and merchandising accessories. There are a limited number of tables available to use free of charge at the event space – first come, first served (let us know if you’d like tables and chairs in your booth space). • Vendors should display a sign identifying the artist(s) or business name. • Vendors are encouraged to create an attractive environment within their booth. Your booth display should not interfere with neighboring spaces. Partitions of 6’ and under are okay; anything taller – please contact Chris to make sure that your set up will work. • Sale of food or beverages is not allowed except for approved vendors. • Limited electricity is available to booths. Please let us know if you need power. • Vendors are responsible for keeping their space looking attractive during market hours and for cleaning up their space after the market closes, including removal of garbage and sweeping up any loose debris. Vendors leaving debris or garbage at rented space will be fined or not welcome to return. Thank you for your cooperation! • Spaces may be shared by two vendors producing separate product and each must apply on one application (use two copies of the vendor application attached to each other). No more than two vendors may share a booth! This will be strongly enforced. We know everyone is busy and your time is valuable. We’ll do our best to keep emails brief and to a minimum. But please let us know if you have any questions or concerns as we move forward. Space is limited to 42 vendor booths; earlier applications will be given first priority. 1. Send a note of interest and three photos of your work to cloffel@denverlibrary.org. Chris will contact you within a week to confirm receipt of your photos and to let you know that you will be included for vendor selection. 2. Print and fill out the attached application. This must include a signature at the bottom agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of the Paris Holiday Market. 3. Once you have been notified of your vendor status for the show, bring your completed application and check (made out to DPLFF) or cash or credit card to the Fresh City Life office (near the west entrance) at the Central Library, 10 W. 14th Ave. Pkwy., Denver CO 80204. Note: Read and retain all parts of the agreement (see below) for your records as it lists the terms and conditions that you, as a participating artist, agree to honor by your signature on the application.
