Chapter 2 General Hunting Regulation Chapter 2 outlines general hunting definitions, license types, shooting hours, bag limits, validation of carcass coupons and other general hunting information. For 2020 the Department is proposing several edits to provide better clarification to Section 2 definitions. Section 12 has been edited to address the use of unmanned aerial vehicles to spot, locate or aid in the taking of any trophy game species during any open season. A new Section 20 is being added to address the use of specialized hunting 2 technologies and equipment. This is in response to House Enrolled Act 54 of the 2019 General Session of the Wyoming Legislature which authorizes the Game and Fish Commission to regulate the methods of taking wildlife to include limiting or prohibiting the use of certain hunting technologies.
Chapter 11 - Upland Game Bird/Small Game This regulation establishes hunting season dates, bag and possession limits and specific shooting hours for all upland game bird and small game species. The Springer permit pheasant and Glendo permit pheasant seasons are also included.
