Indo American Club The Indo-American Club’s February meeting was designated as Game Night and it proved to be a barrel of laughs for everyone. Deepika Advani the Games Captain for the night, chose two games which kept members entertained as they noshed on snacks they had brought from home. The first game, Twisted Charades, had teams of ten players lined up facing in the same direction. A clue was given to the hindmost player who tapped the player in front of him/ her and communicated the clue silently with the use of gestures. The clue was thus communicated, one person at a time, to the player at the front who then had to guess what it was. It was amazing to see how the message was mangled as it got passed up the line. In the second game, ten men and ten women were paired off randomly, each couple dancing in turn to a Bollywood tune. What a contrast in styles! Members lined up for the Jim Lyttle was the big winner for the night, being a Twisted Charades game. member of the winning team in the Twisted Charades and also being voted for the Most Energetic Dancer along with his partner Judy Gottlieb. Way to go, Jim! Earlier in the evening, Siddharth Dalal told members about the upcoming half marathon that he will be running on March 15th. The event is to increase awareness of ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, which has claimed three victims in our Canal Walk community, one of them being Siddharth’s wife. Members are encouraged to show their support for the cause by attending the event if they can and by pledging to the cause at http://webgny.alsa.org/site/ TR. Details found in this website.
