CANAL WALK QUILTERS The Canal Walk Quilters met on Monday, October 5th in the Freedom Clubhouse parking lot. Keeping socially distant, we were able to have a great time visiting and sharing projects we worked on over the summer. Several quilters brought projects to share and everyone took a quilt kit to work on at home. Monday, November 23rd we will meet on Zoom at 1:00 for a virtual meeting. At that time, we will check in on everyone’s progress and materials that need to be collected or distributed. We hope everyone stays well and that we will be able to meet indoors to work on projects together in the near future. Happy Stitching! By Sue Watt Affordable, TALK OF THE WALK All-Inclusive Pricing! TAP FOR FUN & FITNESS Well, it’s been a few months since you‘ve heard anything from the Canal Walk Tappers. Sadly, there just hasn’t been much to report until now. We continued having our virtual tap classes on Zoom every week which helped keep us active and in touch. Zoom isn’t the most ideal way to learn tap dancing but for those of us who love the art, it was better than nothing! Once Covid-19 guidelines and procedures were set up to allow other outdoor activities to resume, the Tappers decided it was our turn! With the approval and support of our Board of Directors (thanks, Jim) and the help of our Community Manager, Tom, and our Activities Director, Jodie, we were able to get out of the house and dance together in the fresh air. With waivers signed and masks in hand (and on face when required) the Canal Walk Tappers were back together again. Many of us showed up at the Freedom Clubhouse Swimming Pool area on Wednesday, 9/23/20, So here we are…together again! I can’t tell you how happy it to pick up where we left off.
