CREATOR SPOTLIGHT Asheville Lyricist Encourages and Uplifts Through Positive Messages Lenore Arnow is a Asheville-based creative poet, lyricist, and counselor using her talents to inspire and encourage others through her words and original media content. Arnow holds a 6 Bachelor of Science in Psychology and an M.S.Ed. Guidance and Counseling from Old Dominion University and has a background in dance, language arts, and music. She is dedicated to making a difference in her community by creating positive messages and imagery through her words and lyrics. She creates, writes and publishes her own materials with encouraging messages for people of all ages including children’s books, poetry books, and creative stories. Her background in children’s counseling and education 10 is what inspired her to write positive and uplifting stories and poems for children. As a volunteer for AmeriCorps VISTA from 1988-1992, Arnow developed projects for community education and helped promote reading for the Literary Council of Buncombe County in Asheville, North Carolina. One of her biggest projects included “The Reading Rap,” a song to encourage children to read. Arnow wrote and directed numerous PSAs for the Literary Council with the song’s lyrics. The first issue of North Carolina Bridal Magazine (NCBM) was published in 2019 and is a go-to resource for brides who are planning their special day. The pub- lication showcases talented professionals throughout the Carolina region from caterers to bridal shops and makeup and hair artists. The magazine also features real wedding stories, designer interviews, and other inspiring content to help brides visualize their wedding day.
