The day to express 'gratitude ' to your teacher . CAN YOU ENVISAGE LIFE WITHOUT THE TEACHER IN ? A teacher is a friend, wise person, and a guide who instils confidence in young minds, gives them direction and encourages them to dream. Introduction : From beginning of Covid-19 pandemic teachers around the world have taken the lead in continuing to deliver quality education while adapting to a challenging new environment. Globally, teachers have also played a leading role in keeping education communities safe and healthy. The World Teachers’ Day will serve as a platform for teachers to be heard as they continue to devote to building a better tomorrow for their students. Teachers have consistently been at the leading edge, in their everyday responsibilities at schools and leadership roles in communities. In the recent era, teachers and education have been further challenged to respond to the challenges of the new teaching-learning environment and to the evolving needs of their communities throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. This year’s World Teachers’ Day is an opportunity to focus on teachers and spotlight of the capabilities of the scale they have in teaching and the solidarity with all educators, they are indeed the leaders in crisis and also they are the manufacturer of the future.
The day to express 'gratitude ' to your teacher UNESCO: In 2020, World Teachers’ Day will celebrate teachers with the theme “Teachers: Leading in crisis, reimagining the future”. The day provides the occasion to celebrate the teaching profession worldwide, take stock of achievements, and draw attention to the voices of teachers, who are at the heart of efforts to attain the global education target of leaving no one behind. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly added to the challenges faced by already over- extended education systems throughout the world. It is no exaggeration to say that the world is at a crossroads and, now more than ever, we must work with teachers to protect the right to education and guide it into the unfolding landscape brought about by the pandemic. The issue of teacher leadership in relation to crisis responses is not just timely, but critical in terms of the contributions teachers have made to provide remote learning, support vulnerable populations, re-open schools, and ensure that learning gaps have been mitigated. The discussions surrounding WTD will also address the role of teachers in building resilience and shaping the future of education and the teaching profession. https://en.unesco.org/commemorations/ worldteachersday
