JULY 2020 WILLIAM CAPE NEWS Welcome By Cathy Blomquist Welcome to our July Newsletter. Each day we are finding new ways to adapt to the new “normal” brought about by COVID-19. During June we held our first Relatives Meeting in a webinar format via Zoom. Whilst we had some Betty Skyping her family technical issues with sound quality, the meeting was well received by those families who attended. Thank you for your participation and I look forward to welcoming others to join for our next Relatives meeting. We will send out an email including details on how to register well in advance for your convenience. Last week we said farewell to our COVID-19 Nurse, Moises, who is returning to his pre-COVID-19 role in the acute sector. One of our care staff, Jenny, who recently received her RN registration has been orientating to the COVID-19 Fay enjoying some pampering Nurse role and will now be looking after our residents daily temperature monitoring and wellbeing checks, working closely with RN Kaitlin. Congratulations to RN Jenny as you start your nursing career with us at William Cape Gardens. As always, please feel free to contact me at any time to discuss any concerns you may have by calling Reception and I’ll get back in touch with you as soon as I can.
