In our Region Ministry Ministers Christmas Message Christmas Greetings brothers and sisters in Christ, As we draw close to what has been a long, unprecedented year I am empowered by the words from Isaiah and offer them to you in Hope, Peace, Joy and Love as we celebrate the birth of Christ. “For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace”. Isaiah 9:6 Thank you for your resilience, your prayers and your faithful service in ministry together. I continue to pray for our church families, pastoral concerns and the needs of our world, may you feel supported and comforted this Christmas Season. May God’s blessings be upon you now and may you know of his great love for you. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Prayer Requests Continued prayers for Allan and Glynis Woolcock, Joan Morris, Ron Cooper, Olive Grigg, Rev. Alfred Palu, Rev. Sisilia and her brother Apai Tupou-Thomas, Edwina Gowan, Grace Martin, Anne Knowles, Joyce Todd, Margaret and Jim Thwaites, Warwick and Mary Ball, Ailsa Nixon, Winifred Garland, Peggy Mathys, Barbara Easton, Nancy Purches, Margaret Huckle and Ian Howard & Lesley Alcock in your thoughts and prayers again this week. Prayers for the family and friends of Susan Cobham (passed away after being injured in the recent Northern Beaches storm) the other two women critically injured. President’s Podcast Launched This week saw the launch of a new podcast by President Rev Sharon Hollis. There are rich and deep conversation with some of the interesting and inspiring people the President meets. Series 1 is all about Act2, and in Episode 1 Sharon shares a conversation with Assembly General Secretary Colleen Geyer about her journey in the Uniting Church and the guiding vision behind Act2 to equip life-giving communities of hope in the UCA.
