Repeat Prescriptions Following the merger of the Oxford Road patient list with St Andrew's patient list all paper requests for repeat prescriptions are to be dropped into our Sensier House premises. Also, unless you are using the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) to direct your prescription to your local chemist, you will need to collect your paper prescription from Sensier House. With EPS, you can choose a pharmacy or dispenser to dispense all your prescriptions. When you get a prescription, it will be sent electronically to the dispenser you have chosen. You can collect your medicines or appliances without having to hand in a paper prescription. Remember not only can you select a local pharmacy for your prescriptions to be delivered, you can also order online line via this website or via the NHS App. Contact Reception should you wish to register for EPS Added: 16/02/2020

NEW – Long Term Disease Clinic Long term disease refers to medical conditions that may have an ongoing impact on your health. In particular we use this term to refer to conditions such as: atrial fibrillation, diabetes, CKD, COPD, high blood pressure, some mental health conditions, thyroid disease. If you have one or more of the conditions, we recommend that you have an annual review. Some of these conditions require monitoring with blood tests or other tests such as breathing assessments or urine tests. In addition many of these conditions require annual medication reviews. In 2020, we will be introducing a new process for co-ordinating these reviews. Your review will take place in the month of your birthday. This will allow us to plan our workload and spread it evenly throughout the year and it should also provide you with an easy to remember month for your review! Working aged men (25-54 years old) account for the largest number of suicide deaths in the UK. Suicide is the biggest killer of men aged under 50 • These men are also the least likely to receive any kind of support. • They don't talk about it with their friends. • They don't share with their family. • And they don't seek professional treatment. • They are the victims of problematic thinking that says mental health disorders are unmanly signs of weakness. • It’s time to change this culture and start listening to men.
• ManHealth is a Community Interest Company who aim to create a network of male peer support groups across County Durham for men with Depression. • The groups is open to men affected by depression to share friendship offer advice and support over a common condition. The groups are designed to provide an opportunity to meet new friends, helping to end the social stigma, and loneliness of depression. • All ManHealth groups will be run by men with a lived experience of depression.
