Year 9 Mock Exams Introduction: Year 9 mock exams are designed to prepare you for your final Year 11 exams. They will Provide your teachers with important information so they can support you as you progress into year 10. Each subject will use the exam results to inform end of year 9 predicted grades. It is very important that you begin revision early, so that you are confident before you sit the exam. You must take each exam seriously and strive to do your best in all subjects. Remember - “Before anything else preparation is key to success”. Year 9 Mock Exam Calendar: All year 9 core mock exams (English, Maths and Science) will take place in the sports hall between Monday 21st June and Friday 25th June. A booster session will run before each exam. Your exam timetable is on the next page. Dates can be found on subject pages in this booklet and your teachers will explain exam details with you. Tips for use… • If you are just using for exam practise then be proactive—don’t skip over questions you don’t know—most past exam papers have video solutions on YouTube or ask your teacher! • Use the mark scheme effectively—DON’T copy it, you gain nothing from this. Only use it to mark your answers. • Mind-maps To get an accurate grade, set yourself the allocated time and do it like a real exam—mark at the end to see how you did.
