Senior Fees Installments THE BOARD MANDATED SENIOR FEE is $250.00 (all-inclusive) & can be paid in one installment or in five ($50) installments: All $250.00 must be paid no later than Friday January 7, 2022. · 1st payment- Friday, Sept. 4th The senior fee covers several organized events that will take place this year to · 2nd payment- Friday, Oct. 1st include: Senior Installation, Senior Week Activities, · 3rd payment- Friday, Nov. 5th security for events, a memory book, a senior shirt as well as the cost of the graduation · 4th payment- Friday, Dec. 3rd facility. · 5th payment- Friday, Jan. 7th

BCS Graduation Credits Students will take 4 Core and 4 Electives each year in grades 9-12 = 16. 0 Credits Required Electives for Graduation: 1. Career Preparedness = 1.0 2. Beginning Kinesiology = 1.0 3. Health = .5 Three additional electives in Career & Technical Education, a sequence of foreign Languages and/or Fine Arts =3.0 Two and half additional electives in any subject = 2.5 Total: 24.0 Credits Earning a Merit Diploma In order to receive the Alabama Diploma with Merit, a student must meet the minimum requirements for the Alabama High School Diploma. In addition, students must earn a total of 26 credits and: earn one math credit in a math course beyond Algebra II with Trigonometry successfully complete two sequential Foreign Language courses successfully complete two of four core credits as evidenced by passing with an average of “C” or higher each semester in advanced or Pre-AP coursework in grade 10. successfully earn three Advanced Placement credits as evidenced by an average of “C” or higher each semester, or three International Baccalaureate credits as evidenced by an average of “C” or higher each semester, or two AP and one Dual Enrollment credits or one AP/IB and two Dual Enrollment (for a total of 3) as evidenced by an average of “C” or higher each semester …must complete a minimum of one AP/IB course. Alabama High School Diploma with Career & Technical Endorsement **In order to receive the Alabama Diploma with Career and Technical Endorsement, a student must meet the minimum requirements for the Alabama High School Diploma. In addition, students must complete three sequential Career and Technical Courses in the same pathway and earn a credential in that area.
Huffman’s Career & Technical Education Pathways Huffman students are strongly encouraged to choose one of the six CTE Pathways. Beginning in the ninth grade, students are advised of the benefits of earning a credential in their chosen pathway. CTE Pathways 1. Cosmetology – Students can earn their Cosmetology License 2. Architecture & Construction – Students learn CAD skills and the basics of building construction. 3. Business Management – Students earn Microsoft Office Certificates that are recognized nationally 4. Health Science – Students earn a Certified Nursing Assistance Certificate 5. Hospitality & Tourism – Students learn Culinary skills 6. Fire Science – Students can become Fire Fighters. Criteria to Earn a CTE Credential • Students must take three courses in the same pathway to be eligible to sit for the credentialed test. • The credential earned is a national credential
