WYNNSTAY DAIRY DAY Reserve Champion Heifer from Morris Eyton & Son realising the day’s top price of £2520 (L-R: Hannah Kirkham-Wynnstay, Will Oldfield- Judge & Vendor Peter Swindlehurst) PETER MORRIS OF AYLESBURY The family of the late Peter Morris would like to make known to the customers of Bentham Auc- tion Mart of his recent death. Peter first attended Bentham Auction in 2002 following the Foot & Mouth outbreak as he sought to purchase quality Mule Gimmer Lambs. His continued support without doubt lifted the profile of the Bentham sales attracting more quality consignments. For a number of years, Peter also sold an annual consignment of 100 suckler bred store cattle at the March sale until prevented by TB restrictions. As Pater passed on the baton to the next genera- tion, his family have continued to support the mart and will be well known to many of our cus- tomers. His son David continues to buy top pens of Mule gimmer lambs along with sister Caroline Mole while husband Rob is a regular buyer at the store cattle sales. Peter’s reputation as a superb stockman and judge of stock was countrywide. We are privileged to have been associated with him as both a customer and friend and we are sure that all those at Bentham who knew him would share in our sympathy to his wife Gwyneth and family.
