ABOUT DISABILITY SPORTS AUSTRALIA (DSA) • Australia’s peak national body representing athletes with a physical disability. • National Coordinating Body, providing a single point of contact between partner organisations - Australian Sports Commission, Australian Paralympic Committee and National Sporting Organisations; and State and Territory members such as Wheelchair Sports NSW. • Committed to engaging people across Australia from grass roots to elite athletes. ACCOMMODATION • All athletes and officials - Quest Serviced Apartments • A wheelchair accessible shuttle bus kindly provided by our Event Supporter Transport NSW, will run from the accommodation to the venues on a continuous loop, starting 1.5hours prior to the commencement of the first game until an hour after the completion of the last game.

WHAT TO WEAR • Navy uniform
TRANSPORT • We encourage all Volunteers to use public transport. https://transportnsw.info/trip#/ • The closest carpark is P3 • Casual parking is $5 an hour or $25 per day • accessible car spaces, are available, remember to display your Accessible Parking Permit • pre-book parking. For $25 per day, you can plan your tripby pre-purchasing and printing your ticket prior to arriving. • Need to know more about parking at Sydney Olympic Park, please visit Parking Facts.
ACCREDITATION • For the first time, all workforce personnel (including Event Team and Volunteers), teams, VIPS, media, suppliers etc will receive an accreditation and lanyard. • Must be worn at all times while rostered on.
ARRIVING FOR YOUR SHIFT • Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled shift start time. This will allow time for check-in and to receive any updates and/or role specific training. • For shifts: - Prior to Tuesday 1 August, please go to the Disability Sports Australia Office Sport House, Level 2, Quad 1, 8 Parkview Drive, Sydney Olympic Park - Wed 2 – Friday 4, please go to Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre, (Cnr of Olympic Boulevard & Sarah Durack Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park) - Saturday 5 August, please go to Genea Netball Centre (Cnr of Olympic Boulevard & Sarah Durack Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park) • Once at the venue, please follow the signs to the Volunteer Room and check-in! • Please note, your bags might be checked by Venue Security, so please do not bring any glass, or sharp objects such as scissors, Swiss Army knives etc.

VOLUNTEERS ROOM • Used for: o Volunteer Check-in o Pick up your uniform and accreditation at the start of your first shift o Lunch and breakout area o Storage of personal belongings o Updates o Role specific training • Water and snacks will be available • Volunteers will be provided with one meal per shift (either lunch or dinner). • Dietary requirements indicated on the Volunteer Registration Form will be catered for.
VOLUNTEER ROLES
ACCESS CONTROL • Volunteers will ensure that only accredited people access certain areas of the venue. • Next to every access point and volunteer will be a sign indicating who is allowed though based on their accreditation.
EVENT PROTOCOL • Volunteers will assist: o Check-in of VIP Guests and give them accreditations and wristbands o Direct VIP’s to the VIP Room o Assist in the VIP Room
LOGISTICS • Volunteers will assist in the Bump-in, Bump-out and Transition of the Competition Venues. • This will involve moving and setting up: o Equipment o Storage o Signage o Venue Offices
TRANSPORT • Transport volunteers will be responsible for driving a minibus, van or truck for: o Airport Arrivals and Departures (28 July – 7 Aug) o Transport of Canadian athletes and team management to training (Sat 29 July & Sun 30 July) o Transport of Australian and Canadian athletes and team management for pre-event competition – “Friendlÿ Games” (Monday 31 July) • The drivers will also be involved in assisting with the loading and unloading of passengers (both able-bodied and those with an impairment), their luggage and competition chairs. • An Event Team representative will be present to assist Transport Volunteers, load and unload passengers and gear. • Disability Sports Australia’s insurance will cover drivers. • Drivers only require a Class C Driver Licence (standard Australian Licence)
