CHAMPIONS OF Philadelphia Region OCTOBER 14, 2021 A VIRTUAL CELEBRATION OF PHILADELPHIA’S EVERYDAY HEROES SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
CHAMPIONS OF Philadelphia Region www.PhilaRMH.org/Champions VIRTUAL EVENT OCTOBER 14, 2021 6:30-7:30 PM Hosted by Sheinelle Jones Co-host, “3rd Hour of TODAY” Former co-host, “Good Day Philadelphia” Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Philadelphia Region supports families of seriously ill children by creating a community of comfort and hope. The services that we provide—safe housing, healthy meals, and psychosocial support—reflect core values that have been at the heart of our organization since 1974. • Housing - We provide clean, comfortable, and safe lodging which allows access to vital healthcare services for children, along with complimentary parking, and transportation to and from the hospital. • Meals - Our Food Services Program provides three delicious meals to families every day, making sure all family members are caring for their own health and well-being. • Psychosocial Support - Our on-site social workers provide regular conversation, therapeutic play activities, and other valuable resources to meet each family’s needs.
CHAMPIONS OF Philadelphia Region www.PhilaRMH.org/Champions Who are our Champions of Hope? Our event celebrates the everyday heroes who demonstrate acts of volunteerism, philanthropy, and goodwill that fall into the three pillars at the heart of our organizational mission outlined above. Sponsors have the opportunity to recognize a Champion of Hope in their life, or shine a light on one of the heroes close to the daily work of RMHC Philly. Click here to see a list of last year’s Champions. The Johnson family has stayed at our Front & Erie House more Julie and Katee Johnson than 12 times over the past five years so that 10-year-old Katee can receive critical surgeries to help her walk. “ The House is like a home away from home. Financially, it helps make Katee’s treatment possible. And our physical needs are met, which is huge, so I can focus on caring for Katee. But another big part is emotional; being able to connect with other families during hard times “ is especially helpful.
OUR AWARDEES In addition to our Champions of Hope, we will be honoring two individuals who exemplify the vision, compassion, and community spirit of our co-founders, Audrey Evans and Jimmy Murray.
