Things To Do
It's time to go beyond. Follow trails that reveal mighty mountaintops. Wander among iconic landscapes beneath
picture-perfect skies. Let the Sonoran Desert be your guide to limitless adventure.

Arts & Culture: A highlight of Greater Phoenix is the area's rich arts-and-culture environment. Performances at a
multitude of theaters, concert halls, and cultural centers are constant attractions, while art and history lovers can flock
to a diverse group of fascinating museums.

Downtown Phoenix: Culture, commerce and college life coalesce in the epicenter of Phoenix. This is where you'll find
indie restaurants, live music, pro sports, craft brews and cocktail culture. Historic neighborhoods like Roosevelt Row
and Grand Avenue share an urban footprint with modern marvels like CityScape and the Phoenix Convention Center.
No car is required here, thanks to Valley Metro Rail.

Golf: Phoenix and its neighboring communities are home to nearly 200 golf courses in a variety of styles, and Greater
Phoenix is known as one of the top destinations for golf. And for good reason, you can get just about any kind of golf
           experience imaginable.

Outdoors: Some say deserts are nothing but sand and wind, but the Sonoran Desert disagrees. This vast landscape
holds whispered puzzles, with clues hidden in the coyote's howl, the cactus wren's chatter, and the rustle of mesquite
branches. Let your first glance linger, and you'll find abundant life and beauty. The Sonoran Desert is one of the most
vibrant and unique deserts in the world.

Restaurants: Buzz-worthy eateries are as plentiful in Greater Phoenix as cactuses, and they come in just as many
varieties. Some are the creations of celebrity chefs who grace the pages of magazines and the sets of cooking shows.
Others are local gems that serve Southwestern and Mexican dishes crafted from homegrown ingredients such as
           peppers, pomegranates, and citrus fruits.

Shopping: From charming antique shops to chic boutiques to some of the nation's most fashionable shopping centers,
Greater Phoenix can claim some of the best retail therapy in the Southwest.

Spas: Spas in Phoenix aren't just known for overlooking the desert; they're known for using the desert. There you'll find
treatments that utilize botanicals found in the surrounding Sonoran Desert.

Sports Events: The city fields teams in all four major professional sports leagues, The NFL's Arizona Cardinals, NBA's
Phoenix Suns, MLB's Arizona Diamondbacks, and NHL's Arizona Coyotes.

                                                                                                                                         2 03
