Admirals Arch and Lighthouse Admirals Arch is one of Kangaroo Island's most impressive and unusual natural landmarks. It took thousands of years of erosion to create this distinctive rock bridge near the Cape du Couedic Lighthouse on the island's southwest coast. Remarkable Rocks No Kangaroo Island holiday would be complete without a trek to one of the island's signature landmarks, Remarkable Rocks. It took 500 million years for rain, wind, and pounding waves to create these aptly named granite boulders which are now part of the Flinders Chase National Park. Seal Bay Conservation Area: Take a stroll along our 900 metre boardwalk (return). It meanders through limestone cliffs and dunes, and showcases the stunning coastal scenery for which Seal Bay is famous. Along the way you’ll stop at viewing platforms to watch Australian sea-lions surfing the waves or sunning themselves on the beach. The Boardwalk Tour is self-guided, which means you can set your own pace. It is fully wheelchair accessible and there are interpretive signs along the way where you’ll learn about the habits and behaviour of the Australian sea lion, such as hunting, resting and reproduction. The lookout offers amazing views of Cape Gantheaume and the wilderness area. Kangaroo Island Spirits: Optional tasting (Gin) One of the appealing things about gin is the use of botanicals – there is a lot you can do with them in the gin making process. Jon and Sarah believe that gin should still be predominantly juniper flavoured – it’s a choice (some of the new ones aren’t). But from there on, there’s a lot of flexibility and you can almost do or add anything you like. And this is where Jon and Sarah have worked their magic to produce the exquisite uniqueness of KIS gins, which underpins Kangaroo Island Spirits’ core values and product personality.
