INTRODUCTION Location Glasgow Green Dates 11 June – 11 July Times 12pm -10pm (5pm-10pm on 11 June) Potential for 11pm for knock-out stages, if required Spectator capacity per session 3,000 No. of sessions 3 per day (first two weeks) 2 per day (last two weeks)

CULTURAL PROGRAMME UPDATE In addition to match days when all UEFA matches will be screened and the sport and commercial partner activations will be ongoing, a programme of cultural content will fill the 9 non-match days and some of the afternoons when there is only an evening match. Programming examples include: Afternoons – 1pm to 4pm • family audiences • film screenings, music performances, interactive workshops and spoken word/storytelling • showcasing, celebrating and exploring music, heritage and community arts projects from city projects • look towards the hosting of COP26 in Glasgow • celebrate heroes that have emerged through the Coronavirus Pandemic Evenings 5pm – 10pm • targeted to a more adult audience • live music nights with partners, e.g. Celtic Connections, Glasgow Mela and Glasgow International Jazz festival • evening film screenings • comedy nights showcasing leading and emerging Scottish comics • a night celebrating Scottish Drag which has emerged onto the global stage in 2021.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING REQUIREMENTS • The Fan Zone will now be a largely seated venue. A portion of the venue will remain standing to allow fans to visit sponsor activations and sporting activations etc. • In line with the conditional approval from Scottish Ministers, planning is for: • 1.5m physical distancing within the seated hospitality area (measured mouth to mouth), with additional mitigation measures • 2m physical distancing for standing and circulation areas, and queuing lanes. Current capacity being planned for is 3000 spectators at any one time. • The booking of tables will be available for a maximum of 6 people, and bookings will be allowed as per the government guidelines at the time of the tournament.
TICKETING • The Host City Team are now proposing to ticket the whole duration of the Fan Zone. The ticketing system will capture the data required for Test & Protect purposes • Tickets will be for a table of 6 persons from 3 households in line with the current restrictions. • The ticketing agent who has been appointed is SeeTickets • Tickets will be for 3 timed sessions per day Between 11 June - 23 June and 2 sessions per day 24 June – 11 July. • The times of the sessions when there are 3 a day are: 12noon – 4pm, 4.30pm – 7.00pm, 7.30pm – 10pm • The times of the sessions when 2 a day are: 12noon – 4pm and 4.30pm until 10pm. • Tickets are free for all sessions at the moment. The cultural programme is being developed and may charge for certain entertainment pieces on rest days only.
FOOD & BEVERAGE UPDATE • Central Fusion is the appointed food provider. • The current plan based on restrictions is for a full table service operation. If relaxing of restrictions allow, this may change to spectators being allowed to queue in person at the food concessions. • There will be a limited menu available. A central processing unit will serve as back of house operations and the majority of food will be served from there. • Coca Cola as the soft drinks provider will provide a drinks list to the food operator for stock purposes. • The Host City Team are investigating the possibility of advance ordering via the ticketing system.
ALCOHOL APPROACH • Heineken remain as the UEFA Beer sponsor. Central Fusion are confirmed as the Bar Operator. • The application is for the Glasgow Green Fan Zone to be licensed within the perimeter fence line. • The current plan based on restrictions is for a full table service operation. If relaxing of restrictions allow, this may change to spectators being allowed to queue in person at the bars. • The Host City team are exploring the possibility of advance ordering via the ticketing system. See Tickets are the ticketing system provider for the Fan Zone. • Alcohol Management Plans are being developed by the Licensee. These will be robust but flexible enough to ensure we can alter our approach, depending on what the restrictions are at the time of delivery.
SAFETY & SECURITY • G4S are confirmed as the security provider. Initial resourcing plans have been developed; • HVM: CTSA Vulnerability Assessment conducted. Full site visit being conducted on Thursday 15th April 2021 @ 1700 hours including NBAT, Hardstaff and Police Scotland to confirm HVM product required and road closures. Secco report to be produced post this site visit. • Medical Provision: still ongoing, Quotes received from First Aid provider and being considered. • COVID 19 Secure: Venue Risk Assessment initial draft developed. This will be augmented by individual ‘function specific’ and ‘occupied space’ COVID 19 Secure risk assessments. • Safety & Security Policies and Procedures being updated to reflect new Fanzone location
ADDITIONAL COVID MITIGATIONS In addition to physical distancing and limiting capacity, the Fan Zone team will adhere to COVID guidance where available (hospitality, construction, sport & leisure), including the following mitigations: • Sessions to limit dwell time • Ticketing requirement to capture Test & Protect info • Food & drink ordering and payment service • Face coverings • Cleaning regime • Toilets and handwashing • Managed queuing and circulation areas • Communication – pre-arrival information, signage, messaging on big screen, commentary • COVID secure search policy
